No female Hrothgar? No sub.

while "woman have to be pretty" is pretty much ingrained in japan (in almost all entertainment industry) i wonder if it their only reason.

i mean, if that the only reason, what stopping them from doing exactly that? iam sure they can make a hrothgar waifu if they want to (japan can make rule 34 out of literally anything afterall)

It's definitely not the only, or even main reason. Female roegadyn exist.

The main reason is that they had already planned for Hrothgar to come next, but still had Viera waiting in the planning stages, and decided as this was likely going to be their last race, they'd compromise and get both out at once, because of how popular Viera are.

Which makes a ton of sense.
I get that some people are disappointed by it and I think that it's valid to be disappointed.
But at the same time pleasing the most amount of people is more important I think and I find it hard to believe that anyone would even argue against that this outcome pleased the most people than the reverse or probably if it had been only Hrothgar too.
It has nothing to do with sexism or sexist intent or anything like that.
Implying or even outright stating that as some people do is just wrong, but being disappointed isn't.

And I get being disappointed, I get disappointed by Western games all the damn time lol.

Don't want to make this another Viera vs Hrothgar thing (Cause lord knows that's too easy) but I think you make new races to add visual diversity above all else. They wanted to make people like myself who begged for Viera happy, but there's a number of easier ways to make tons of people in a game like this happy. We missed a chance at a unique race of beastly females with the lack of female Hrothgar, disappointing to say the least.

As for the OP ... the fact that they have a level 80 speaks for it's self. Not sure why someone made their first post on this forum a necroing of a long dead thread..
