At this point they don't much care. GM's aren't doing anything to help the situation and they know it. I reported somebody who was Gil selling to friends. Legit had messages IN GAME from somebody who bought from him. Reported it. He still plays. He got a 1 day ban for his FC name. That was it. No ban for Gil selling with proof.

I feel more and more people are coming to this realization, as I see more complaints about botting and RMT all the time.
Maybe we'll reach a tipping point some day and SE will finally take action. Maybe it will be in the way SE is known for and retroactively permanently bans everyone who ever had any involvement.

One can dream, anyway.

I accidentally ended up getting Saint in both Blacksmith and Armorsmith because I didn't realize getting Saint also got you Beata/Beatus.

Please don't go back on the not needing to do it if you already won. That many expert crafts over that many days was aggressively unfun, and probably bad for many people's physical and mental health. Let us be free from that horror and let other motivated people get their Saint titles.

This isn't a macro. As I posted earlier, they have a figured a Crafting Solver algorithm for Expert Crafts. This actually exists and according to their posts it works, it's not that hard to find (took me less than 60 sec on google). It also seems very few report getting bans.

It's naive to think that out of tens of thousands of players per server, there won't be 12 people who will find this and take the risk free easy shortcut. It's almost suspicious how defensive you are towards this to be honest... I know if I was a botter I'd like to draw attention away from the possibility it exists.

I'm actually quite sure Season 1 was mostly legit players. I saw a lot of fellow crafters on those top spots and had no issue hitting top 12 legit myself, but Season 2 they know the core mechanics and they've had all the time to prepare. It will very likely be a different story unless something is done.

But he is probably not wrong either. (And never said that every single top 12 is using bots..) Even in the first season there were already gathering bots going around..gathering bots that would then be in the competition of other gathering players and use the mats to maybe have a chance for the crafting titles too. So even if those players never used a crafting bot they still got a huge help with the gathering part.

It is not that far fetched that they will use more bots in future seasons if they created a way to craft these expert items more easily. Thus why its bad to change the title. No matter if you got it through normal plays or through bots you are out of it afterwards. Making place for new people (and bots..).

Its like how it is with PVP. There are mostly people doing it the normal way and then you have the cheaters..and since there will always be a new mount or other exclusive stuff you will always lose some of those to cheaters.

I read that comment in quotes as speaking to the bots being advertised now for the upcoming season. Not for the past season.

And to his other point, you do seem very defensive about this whole bot thing. He's not calling you a bot (or your main because this character has no 80 level crafters). He's not calling me a bot or anyone else on here a bot. He's talking about the upcoming season and the bots that are being advertised now that can do expert crafting reliably and efficiently and if that's true, that some people will use them.
