Removing Erp Advertisements from the PF(Which yes they should be removed) is like knocking the cherry off a Sundae. Its not minimizing so much as its just removing Evidence of its existence from view.

It's not evidence, it's one avenue through which predatory adults can prey on minors. Having it be visible doesn't reduce how many people get affected, whereas even if completely removing it from the PF only stops one instance of it happening, that should be more than enough reason to do it.

I don't really see the problem personally.
I do get the argument that there might be some actual predators doing it but then you deal with those cases, I don't believe in punishing everyone by banning something just because of the existence of bad actors.
There's no actual victims of anything in-game either, if it extends to outside of the game in an illegal manner then that's something that should be reported to the police.

Granted I'll admit that I don't play on these servers, I've never seen anything like this before.
But I mean ERP exists even on non-RP servers in games like WoW too, Goldshire got its reputation for a reason.
The only thing that comes close that I've seen are people making inappropriate and unwanted comments about my character, and I just tell them to stop or I leave.

People doing acts of violence because of media is a real thing even if it's rare, I don't think that means that media should be sanitized and that everyone else should lose out on their fun because of it.
I have a really hard time believing that minors are really the ones into this stuff either, maybe mid to late teenagers I guess in some cases but mostly I definitely think that it's adults.

I think that if you want to ban something then you've got to be able to show some causal effect or that it's a more overarching issue and not just very rare exceptions.

Lots of things can be applied to lots of things. Luckily, the world doesn't actually exist in black-and-white, and it's possible to not just use blanket statements and assume because we did A we must obviously do B. Two different situations can be approached with two different solutions.

"18+", "ERP" and "brothel" aren't obscene/indecent expressions. The majority of ERP listings don't have any obscene or indecent expressions to report about, and knowledge that any players responding to that PF will possibly engage in some type of sensual/sexual activity is nowhere near qualifying the PF as an obscene/indecent expression.

This whole thread is nothing but people trying their hardest to cancel PFs they aren't interested in because they lack the common sense and/or maturity to just ignore it.

Ill just leave this as closing for every minor who joins a 18+ pf there ten others involved in innocent talk with a sick minded freak. Want to help minors educate them on what not to do when online and what to avoid.

Seeing as you cant tell who is a minor in this game and who is not. You better give up all adult conversations with everyone in the game and in any chat program. Cause there are minors who sound like Adults and Adults who sound like minors for every solution there is another problem to be solved. This is a online enviroment you are your own best protection expecting some random joe to behave is laughable at best. When I am in game I view 1% of what is said in chat as truth and the other 99% as pure BS..

By the way, when you put all responsibility on the potential victim, you then put the blame on them if they get hurt because you're acting like adults have no self control and shouldn't be held responsible for their own actions. If you can't be certain that the person you're ERPing with isn't underage, and you do it anyway, what does that say about you? Are you okay with ERPing with minors as long as they don't tell you that they are one?
