Half the parties that ask for uptime strats execute them badly, or would be better off playing safe when going for a clear lol. The biggest one that boggles the mind, raiding on 2 DCs is Ilya/Uptime (or Arthars as its known in JP) KBM strat on EU (something tells me NA does the same thing). Like why would you do Ilya and Uptime KBM especially with no scythe uptime, its nonsensical to me it's like buying a ferrari and putting trash tyres on it and filling it with economy fuel. People do Ilya because it's considered safer than strats like Ayatori, but then doing KBM the way the mechanic is intended is safer than the uptime version, I don't get it.
On that note, if people want to push optimisation runs, let them do it. Not everyone wants to play this game in the same way and they are not forcing you to play with them. Toxic levels of entitlement are worse than the most ridiculously pedantic levels of elitism in MMORPGs.
Exactly. If people don't want to play with 'toxic casuals' or 'toxic elitists', they can go make their own party. If you use DF or play in any way that doesn't involve curating exactly who does and does not get to play with you, you get what you get. Either deal with them or leave. Of course, they can also learn how to be nice and maybe find a compromise with the person they have an issue with, but one does have to consider what playerbase we're dealing with here.

And people on either side of the coin are protected - that's the beauty of it. If you go there and tell them they're being too much of a jerk, or that they're beneath you when you're just trying to get your trial roulette done, enjoy your time in the Gaol!Exactly. We seem to actually have those toxic elitists and toxic casuals, and they have come here to do battle.![]()

And some people would actually risk having their accounts suspended or even fully banned just because they didn't like who they got matched with. I get it, sometimes you immediately hate the people you get stuck with, but it's really not worth being a raging jerk about it. It is still a game. Games are supposed to be fun, and if you're not having fun then maybe go do something else or make sure you only ever have fun (i.e. make your own group). You can't always win or have the whole world bend to you -- and it's those times when it's important to just grow up and get over it.
People on these forums like to talk about some people who are too sensitive and easily triggered, but tell someone they have to suck it up when they don't like their DF group and see how much they lose their minds over not getting what they want.![]()

Ye bun that, I just stick to saying thanks at the end of dungeons now and when they eventually balls up enough to walk into Savage and are an absolute trainwreck and have no idea why or how they're too difficult to help in that scenario because the fundemental basics of how they're playing their job in a performance sensitive environment are completely wrong since no-one ever told them otherwise. Then they can pin it on the culture of the community because by god, I have never seen so many people so desperate to help people in an MMORPG, but rarely do people want to actually risk it because then they get a 3 week holiday for "criticism of playstyle".And some people would actually risk having their accounts suspended or even fully banned just because they didn't like who they got matched with. I personally don't bother with Savage because I'm just too lazy and get really tired of doing the same thing over and over again. I also learned after taking a test recently that my reflexes are excellent but my memory is definitely Lacking, so when it comes to Challenging Content my skills are better suited for more volatile gameplay rather than perfectly mastering memorizing something to a point where you could do it in your sleep. However, I still try to do my best in 'casual' content because I find it fun to still really try even though the consequences are clearly minimal, and unfortunately it doesn't seem like other people bother to do the same. Saw a DRG yesterday get out-DPS'd by a healer. Couldn't believe it. But luckily since it was DF I'll likely never see them again, so they're someone else's problem now. I did try to assist them but they didn't even answer me. I do wonder if that same person tries to do Savage and then gets mad that it's too hard.Ye bun that, I just stick to saying thanks at the end of dungeons now and when they eventually balls up enough to walk into Savage and are an absolute trainwreck and have no idea why or how they're too difficult to help in that scenario because the fundemental basics of how they're playing their job in a performance sensitive environment are completely wrong since no-one ever told them otherwise. But y'know. That's how it be sometimes. And I'm not gonna make a whole video saying how good I am and how Toxic that person was because they weren't trying hard enough. And I'm also not going to yell at them for not playing the way I want them to. I think more people really need to take it easy, especially since like 90% of players don't even do Savage/Ultimate and really don't need to worry about the standards other people meet. What's that one meme? "It's only game, why do you have to be mad"?
