The level 25 GLA quest gives you an i24 weapon. They *have* to have gotten a better one. I just did it on an alt.

Well, I guess since they were still using a level 15 weapon by the time they unlocked PLD to begin with, I doubt they really understood or cared to bother upgrading it once they were literally handed one. They had plenty of opportunities to upgrade before then, so the fact that they didn't says a lot.

Yeah, like I said I barely use it. Stone vigil has enough mechanics that make you move that it can help certainly, sure. Though, in response to the original post, I don't know what scaevan gear would have to do with anything. Scaevan is pretty much like default gear you can get with your throwaway tomes when you want to level 70+, I wouldn't really use that as a measure of a player's ability. For example, I have been leveling up my monk and black mage through exclusively PoTD, and will be going through HoH. I won't have ever touched any content outside of that with those classes. For that matter you can also just buy your levels. With the myriad issues you can find in the duty finder this isn't even a footnote.

I expect people near that level and item level to know how to heal. Letting your Tank die because of your total obliviousness when you're well past the point where it should still be a problem without so much as a "mb" is absolutely a "footnote" worth bringing up. Especially when they Regen'd the full health DPS before the Tank.

You got another thing coming to you then, because many people who have every single class at 80 (BLU you never count) and a mentor crown don't even know how to heal.

Okay I was doing Anamnesis Aynder earlier today for the last of the tomes (this was off roulette), and we had a Tank that DC twice, the first time was for a few seconds, the second time...not so much, WE woundup having to tank the second boss with no tank (I was BLM, the other DPS was a SAM), after two attempts we won against the Kyklops,and then we had to kick the tank as they were still DC'd for both attempts (and about 10 min I think, the DC happened afew packs before the Kyklops)

Why? A Mentor joined Vale last night and among the other things he/she did:

- Immediately ate a fruit as soon as he/she enters the Locksmith boss fight area.
- Got killed on the same boss because he/she lets the burr stacked up to SIX.
- Died on Cyclops boss fight due to 100 tonz move.
- Got revived, IMMEDIATELY got killed again due to the Glower move.
- Got hit by Bad Breath not once but twice.
- Died again on the last boss because again he/she didn't eat Morbol fruits and let the stack went to five.

What kind of mentor is that?

On another note: FINALLY I got the Sabotender mount, and my Gunbreaker is finally 80.

- Immediately ate a fruit as soon as he/she enters the Locksmith boss fight area.
- Got killed on the same boss because he/she lets the burr stacked up to SIX.
- Died on Cyclops boss fight due to 100 tonz move.
- Got revived, IMMEDIATELY got killed again due to the Glower move.

- Died again on the last boss because again he/she didn't eat Morbol fruits and let the stack went to five.

What kind of mentor is that?

Mentor status =/= skill. It doesn't always equal the half a brain it takes to avoid all of that. That's pretty much all there is to it.

I mean, mentor status means that that person have played the game for probably hundreds if not thousand of hours, so that avalanche of mishaps happening to him/her was really baffling.

I am not mad or anything, in fact I found it pretty hilarious, I am just a bit puzzled about the why.

Maybe he or she's just feeling really lazy last night, hahaha.
