    Can We Get a 'Community Discussion' Page?

    What I mean by this is something that the 'General Discussion' page *should* have been: a place for members to discuss any topic of their choosing (baring of course the usual no-go ones).

    *Why do you think we need something like this?

    Because we are a community and as a community we have a wide range of people with a wide range of interests.

    *But this is a forum about Final Fantasy XIV, why would you need to discuss any other topic?

    Because there's only so many things within the game that can be discussed without going into repetition. Buff this, nerf that, we need this, we don't need that, etc. On top of that this may be the only place some members interact with others in this community so by allowing a variety of discussions it would help build more camaraderie through discovering more shared interests with others. That's what being a community is all about after all.

    ...What makes you so sure that people here can handle talking about anything else, when tensions run high already for FFXIV topics that are otherwise trivial in nature...? All one gotta do is throw in real world politics and a meltdown will ensue.

    A discussion solely about politics would be fine so long as people are able to keep the "-ist-a-phobe" name calling out.

    The problems come with trying to shoehorn those same politics into the game where they don't belong.
