Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Still hoping we'll someday soon get male viera! Lots of people want them evidently.
Blowsy mind they didn't learn their lesson with the whole miqote issue.

What is this Miqote issue that people are talking about? All I remember and can find online is that the dev team said that male Miqote, female Roegadyn and highlanders were something they must have in the game but after calculating the cost of adding them. If they can, they will implement those first and then look into other races like demi humans or dragons. But I don't remember this being a massive issue that they deiced to add them because of it, nor can I find anything about it online at that time. In fact, you can find interviews dating to 2013 where Yoshida hinted that Viera might be female only and another race would be used for the male counterpart. So there was no promise about not having genderlocked races in the game at all.

Maybe I'm wrong, so I'd wanna see sources of said issue and promise.

Of course this doesn't mean I'm against adding them. I'm all for more options. But I don't like it when some spread misinformation just because they want something.

Male miqo'te, Female Roegadyns and highlanders didn't exsist in 1.0 and were added due to popular demand and yoshi p thinking the genderlock was an archaic thing that shouldn't exist anymore. He also promised he wouldn't let it happen again in XIV yet here we are almost 7 years later.

That's the issue: the broken promise. It is only 1 of many that have happened since the disaster of housing.
