I obviously know macros exist, I've been an omni crafter for years. Trying to act as if you (who legitimately think single pulls are valid outside of extreme circumstances) is in any way more knowledgable about any facet of the game is so utterly laughable I've actually had an irl giggle at it. If you thought it was reasonable to expect people to understand their skills you'd never pull small outside of those extreme circumstances (horribly undergeared, super early dungeon where people don't have AoE, etc.) because all it takes for a full pull to be successful is an understanding of your kit and an internet connection.

You've got no reason to think I don't have friends or a job, you're just saying things like that because people with bad arguments resort to ad homs. First, if you knew about macros then why act like a PS4 controller is a valid excuse to not communicate simple requests to your group? Do you say stuff that makes you sound completely oblivious about this game for fun, or are you just bluffing?

Second, it doesn't matter how well the tank or anyone else understands their skills if the healer is bad. Bad healer = wipe. I'll trust friends of mine; I'll trust guild members; I even trust trusts (pun), but I'm not going to assume PuGs are competent; they need to show me or tell me something if I'm going to have any confidence in them.

I'll repeat, communicating isn't that hard. If you want big pulls ask for them; otherwise I assume you're just going to get everyone killed if I pull wall to wall.

Also, single pulls are valid in that people do them and they're allowed; try reporting someone for single pulling in a dungeon and see what happens. So, if single pulls are something you can't stomach it's on you to say something.

Eh, I mean I can do wall to wall pulls without much issue even in Trusts, because Alphinaud is a semi-competent healer. It takes forever because all the DPS are single targeting everything, but it works.

I can make crappy DPS work if the Healer is decent. The Healer is the xfactor.

Idk maybe one of these days I will try larger pulls as min ilvl, just personally especially as a DRK during large pulls healers are not as much of as factor in the success of the pulls unless the dps is so low I go through all my cool downs and the mobs are not dead due to ST heroes. If the dps is on point even a crappy healer with proper cool down management will not enough time to let the tank die most of the time.

This my personal take though for me the dps are the xfactor in larger pulls. Yes a good healer and good tank can carry two bad dps through a larger pull but if the dps take so long to down the pack at that point it begs the question why the blue blazes are the dps still in the group.

I do not even bother if a tank refuses to use their AoE I just vote to remove them ASAP. You cannot help bad players, and I have seen some awful players, I have ran into ST only tanks and it is rough.

I'm confused - are you under the impression that "every pull is valid <3 uwu" but the new/returning/uneducated players who don't know about macros or don't want to use them for whatever reason aren't valid? You sure seem to be willing to act like it's normal to expect people to understand a basic function in the game, so why are you so ready to accept people not understanding other basic functions like the skills they acquire?

You can't have it both ways. You don't get to crap on people for having expectations for their tanks then just set another (more obscure and far less common) expectation for your healers.

the thing is that there is no difference between one pull and pull everything besides hitting a cooldown and needing a bit more heal , so unless your gear or the healers is complete garbage then you got no excuse to not to, its not even stressful ,which is why its quite aggravating to hear the excuse of "its just a different playstyle".

i found large pulling to be stresssful because of auto bots type playstyles. as in.. ppl so jaded by their level they run on auto pilot and assume all tanks can handle things. I actually made a macro to turn off regen mid pull. it makes no sense to regen before pull

mmo require communication. not assumptions.

This community doesn't like small pulls, and doesn't like asking for big pulls. So, good for you; continue refusing to simply ask and just get mad when they happen. Vote kick the tank; do whatever.
