End game, why?

Why do people care more about end game than the middle to lower game? CoP era anyone? So, why does everyone focus on the end stuff when the middle is just as good or better, even the devs do this.

Normally i'd agree but the middle/lower content in ffxiv is atrocious. Obviously its being remade, but as it stands now its quite empty and devoid of any real substance. It isnt until higher levels you can enjoy things like sb's, making a bunch of materia, farming for mats, primals, etc. Bottom line is, there isnt anything *but* end game right now.

actually if you want to go and compare what low/mid level has and compare it to end game there is actually more to do at mid level than there is end game. the sheer number of things for low/mid level is actually higher in terms of total things to go do.
