Why does your FC own so many houses?

I blame those jerks exploiting their FC for a second home. Every ward has like 8 of these Dead FCs with no one ever online sometimes next door to this owners.

I saw one house up for sale after my FC managed to get about 5 mil. We were so excited, ran to the plot and saw 7 people from one FC camping it out.

I feel bad for them as they're probably in the same situation as me but this is the tactic they've had to rely on to get the property. I don't think I've got it in me to incessantly tap the placard for hours on end XD I hope to get the oppotunity one day, maybe even move to a new server with my FC when they offer a free move option.

I wonder how many of the houses in Moogle aren't being used.

Yea you can review them and view the FCs and sometimes put two and two with their owners and if they’re in the same ward as their personal house

It's the NA player base's fault for being greedy, hoarding and making monopolies off a flawed system wheras the East is not facing this issue. Do you know why? Because they don't hoard, they don't buy houses because they know they don't need it, and their concern for what a fellow player wants outshines vanity.

1: There are players or FCs owning 20+ plots in the same ward regardless of the location of the data center. Yes, even your oh so flawless Japanese DC... Tonberry comes to mind.

2: There are 32 servers for 280,222 active players* on the JP DCs compared to 24 servers for 321,639 active players*. That's 0.58 available plots per player compared to 0.38.

3: The percentage of Free Company housing compared to personal housing on the JP (33%**) DCs is much more higher than on NA (27%**) or EU (24%**) DCs. But here you are, showing no discrimination regarding who's actually the cause of the situation, which brings me to...

4: Patch 2.38 and patch 2.30 to a lesser extent are to blame for this situation. Square Enix made housing way too affordable, allowed players to compete with FCs and never revised the requirements for eligibility. Personal housing is the sole reason as to why there is a shortage of plots on certain servers.
