The Case for Spanish -- A Letter of Hope

I don't speak Spanish but I have always wonder why it's left out. I'm surprised this has not got a dev response yet.

I'm really thinking they don't have a Spanish localization team. which is weird with how largely spoken the language is.

I support you in your quest and hope it happens someday for you.

Answa has every reason. If the game would play Spanish They were exposed to many more people, it is more, my friends prefer to play WOW because it fully translated in Spanish, something is playing with more players .... well that's not the issue ...
There is also the fact that Spanish speakers are left without knowing the history of FFXIV, or have to repeat certain missions because there was something they have not been able to interpret and that's a shame ...
I do not want to downplay any language but Spanish is a language spoken in many parts of the world and would be a salutary lesson to introduce Spanish to attract more players.

Answa tiene toda la razon. Si el juego estubiese en Español jugaria mucha mas gente, es mas, mis amigos prefieren jugar al WOW porque esta traducido completamente al castellano, por algo es el juego con mas jugadores.... bueno ese no es el tema...
Tambien esta el hecho de que los hispano-hablantes se quedan sin conocer la historia de FFXIV, o tienen que repetir ciertas misiones porque habia algo que no han sabido interpretar y eso es una lastima...
No quiero restarle importancia a ningun idioma, pero el español es un idioma que se habla en muchos lugares del mundo y seria un revulsivo introducir el Español para atraer mas jugadores.

Hello! i'm Nina Vanille from Besaid server, i'm in a Ls called Sangre Hispana in that server. All Spanish comunity wants this game translated to Spanish, and i think this will be good even for Square Enix, because a lot of new player will buy this game and play it , then think... will be good for both parts , for Square Enix because will have more player that pay all months and for us because will have a game translated to a language that could understand. We all win, think on it!!

Hola soy Nina Vanille del server Besaid, estoy en una Ls llamada Sangre hispana en ese server. Toda la comunidad Española quiere el juego traducido al español, y pienso que esto seria bueno hasta para Square Enix, porque muchos nuevos jugadores compraran este juego y jugaran. Entonces pienso.. que esto seria bueno para las dos partes , para Square Enix porque tendrá muchos nuevos jugadores y pagarán todos los meses y para nosotros porque tendremos un juego traducido a una lengua que podemos entender. Todos ganemos pensar en eso!!

I appreciate all the passionate posts and requests that have been made here and I understand everyone's desire to see FFXIV feature a Spanish localization. We spoke to Yoshida about it and also passed along all the kind words from the community. He let us know that currently there aren't any plans to include Spanish as one of the in-game supported languages, but post 2.0, as we look into further spreading FINAL FANTASY XIV around the globe, we will keep this request in mind. This isn't a definite "yes" or "no", but it's definitely something we will take into consideration as we move forward.

Once again, we would like to thank you all for your positive comments and continued support.
(P.S. If someone would like to translate my response into Spanish for a native Spanish-speaking friends, that'd be awesome. )

Agradezco todos los entusiastas posts y las solicitudes que se han hecho aquí y entiendo el deseo de todos de que FFXIV se traduzca al español. Hablamos con Yoshida sobre ello y también le transmitimos las cordiales palabras de la comunidad. Nos hizo saber que actualmente no se tiene pensado incluir el español como uno de los idiomas del juego, pero tendremos en mente esta petición tras la 2.0, ya que esperamos difundir más aún FINAL FANTASY XIV por todo el mundo. Esto no es un "sí" o un "no" definitivo sino que se trata sin duda alguna de algo que tendremos en consideración a medida que vayamos avanzando.

De nuevo, nos gustaría agradeceros todos vuestros comentarios positivos y vuestro apoyo constante.
(PD: Sería estupendo si alguien quisiera traducir mi respuesta al español para los amigos hispanoparlantes. )

I need to chime in and say que yo tambien hablo dos idiomas. Medio Boliviano y medio Boricua. Ingles es my primer idioma, pero necesito practicar mi Espanol.
