After running some 71-80 dungeons to level a Bard alt lately, I'm more convinced than ever that Cure/Benefic 1 are harmful in their current form and only serve as "trap" spells.

Nearly all the healers in the dungeon groups I've ran with were Cure I spammers. It wasn't stubborness either, they thanked me for the tip, they were simply overthinking and had just assumed they were meant to proc Cure II's and be mana efficient. They had a variety of other issues too, like ignoring asylum, ignoring Holy, spamming Medica II ect.
One problem is that it works. We cleared those dungeons fine. No one died. On paper they did good. Of course, it lead to another trap where the tanks felt they were taking high damage and pulled smaller and/or used Clemency frequently, one bad habit fueling another.

With the combination of more veterans abandoning tank/heal and the way the design of the game traps you into bad habits but never teaches you otherwise, the standard of gameplay has crashed. But their response has only been to make EX and Savage heal and dps checks more lenient, so you can still clear by doing the mechanics right even if you're playing your class wrong. They're afraid to even ask us to play properly and instead design the game around being able to play wrong.
