Did trial roulette. Got Ravana. Sometimes this goes well, sometimes it doesnt. I'm on WHM, and see my co-healer is WHM. (Thats no good, cant use shields to survive the ultimate, if ppl dont kill the adds in time. Also doesnt help that medica2 regen was nerfed, so it doesnt last the full duration of the animation)
I see one of the tanks is a PLD. (Im not even sure if it works here or not, but tried anyways)
Add phase comes up, and I start DPSing, and notice the adds just arent dying. Everyone is doing dmg to them, but they just arent taking enough dmg to die. (I think 1 or 2 were killed, no others) I tell the PLD to use cover on me right before the animation. (again, dont know if it works during the cutscene or not)
Heal everyone to full, and wait till the last second to pop medica2 on everyone (hoping the regen is enough to keep em alive) and pop regen on myself, in case the PLD doesnt use cover, or if cover just doesnt work in this scenario. Barely get the regen off in time, within that window of less than a second.
The animation plays, and I notice there's no medica2 regen from the other healer... this is gonna hurt...
I see everyone die, but im sitting at 70%hp... either cover helpped, or my self regen+medica was enough to keep my happy butt alive... more dmg keeps pumping out, and right as the boss finishes his ultimate, i live with a sliver of hp. proceed to swift rez the other healer, and keep trying to pump heals, and rezzes. tank falls off, other tank doesnt get aggro, and ppl raised die. mostly becomes a long drawn out fight of cure1 the tank, and the other healer, as i have no mp. every time lucid is up, i need it for cure2 spamming the tank since they are at 8+ stacks of vuln. Eventually win. I did get a com, but still was quite the struggle. But then again, those are the moments we all sort of play for.

Ironically do normal raid roulette, and get a similar experience immediately after with xdeath. everyone is new, and watching the CS. they of course stand in thunder3s, move/act in fire3s, and dont move in blizz3s. tanks and others yeeted off. most of my MP is on medicas, and rezzes. barely retain MP the whole fight. and get complaints i wasnt healing enough... (Even by the other healer who kept dying)
while this is similar, where i single highhandedly kept the group from wiping, its no longer as enjoyable, when ppl throw insults around, as if they understood what went wrong.

*shrug* oh well. Its just a quick roulette. Kinda expected these results.

Gonna be a bit of a long one, but good lord I am so tired of trash players in easy content.

I was one Expert away from capping for the week, and despite being tired from work, I queue up on my GNB as always. Load into Grand Cosmos, for what feels like the 50th time this week; joy. Oh well, it's an easy dungeon and I see my dps are a DNC and BLM. Mobs should practically melt with that combo.

Therein was my first mistake: assuming anyone in this party had half a brain's worth of knowledge on how to play their class properly.

Every pull I would have to cycle through all of my gcd cooldowns and sometimes even be forced to Heart of Stone myself just to keep something up. Mobs were doing the opposite of melting - they were dying at a glacially slow pace, and for the life of me I have no idea why. If I'd been paying more attention I could have probably picked out what the BLM was doing wrong, at least - because I'm pretty sure it was more on them and less the DNC's fault. As a DNC main I tend to notice quickly when a DNC is playing horribly, and this one was decent.

But this isn't the first (nor likely the last) time I've had absolutely crap dps in a run before, so I just grit my teeth and move on. Had to stutter the second pull a bit on the way to the first boss, because food arrived literally right as I was grabbing the Weapon mobs in the hallway - but that was my fault, and we moved to the two armors. Which... also died glacially slow. Sigh.

First boss, we see almost !!!four!!! casts of his brooms. At this point I'm just gritting my teeth so hard they hurt.

Move to the next two pulls between first and second boss, and I finally notice my health is dropping a lot. And that this SCH is basically doing little else but spamming Adlo and Physick on me, sometimes putting up an Excog and rarely remembering to use the fairy tether. Barely dpsing at all - and look, I know GNB is squishier than some tanks, but I shouldn't be watching my health ping-pong constantly with a SCH in the group.

We finally reach plant lady and what a surprise, the dps is so trash that we see two casts of the push seed mechanic. AND on the first one, one of the dps doesn't even move a seed. Nor target the stupid plant that pops up after the mechanic goes off. Nor kill it before it uses its poison/slow skill - which this SCH then proceeds to NEVER ESUNA OFF. Not even off themselves!

I'm really questioning my decision to stay with this group, but it's just one run and I can avoid any kind of tanking until next week when tomes reset.

The next two pulls go about as you'd imagine from above.

Finally hit last boss, and all three of these chuckleheads get hit with the first sword technique. Miraculously, everyone does the fire mechanics properly - but keep in mind, the SCH has a vuln stack already. When he does his four dashes, they don't move far enough away, and get another vuln stack. He does his sword again, BLM and SCH both get swiped - but SCH dies, obviously, since two vuln stacks and all that.

The dps manage to stay alive long enough to burn it down from around 50~ to 10%, then the DNC dies despite my best efforts to keep her alive. Then the BLM dies to another freaking sword. What is with these people and the swords???

Suffice to say I had to solo from 10% down to 0 when I was lower than half health. Thank god I had Superbolide up and some Mega Potions in my bag.

No one got my comm today.

Decided to queue Dohn Mheg with randoms today to see if it was faster with a group than Trust. It was and the group was decent. But that last boss... I've leveled all 6 of the Trust to lv80 and done Dohn Mheg perhaps 20-30 times over multiple characters and never failed that little gimmick at the end over the pit, always been simple.

3 people as witnesses? Immediately ran straight off the edge ...Twice. Then failed the Imp Gaze and Toad choir for good measure.

So was in Lab with my spouse saw my co-healer was Whm with name composed of one letter. Figured alright this is either a bot or full on do nothing player, Did not take long to confirm that it was one of the two. Whm did absolutly nothing no healing, no dps, no attempt to keep themselves alive. Informed the party I would not be them rezzing cause they are doing nothing, Attempted to vote dismiss the whm but it was rejected. Then the tank jumps in and say no cares its just lab. Me and my spouse promptly leave the dungeon and after checking the contact list find the whm and others including the tank were all from Behemoth.

Now I can tolerate bad players, I can tolerate someone who hits exactly two buttons the whole run. But bots and people who do aboslutly nothing the enitre dungeon well thats where I cross the line. I wont help bots or players who do nothing as all thats doing is rewarding them which they dont deserve.

It's actually pretty easy if both me and the tank space out our cooldowns, and it speeds up the run dramatically. None of the AoEs do cataclysmic damage so if i have to eat a couple it's not a big deal.

Two runs of Shiva in Duty Finder today (Shiva, Ex.)

First run had to be abandoned because people didn't repair their equipment. Honestly, if you're queuing for something, make sure you're repaired and kitted out! It isn't hard. =/ It annoyed me because we had a great mentor there who was helping us with clear instructions, and we were very close to winning the fight. But no, abandoned due to shattered gear. =/

Second run, again, excellent mentor with the patience of a saint. Explained the mechanics about sword/staff. Every time Shiva went Sword, the tank would just sit there and eat it. "I can't see her weapon" he would say, or whatever. But, the first one's a freebie, she pretty much has an NPC dialogue box pop up with "A blade for whatnot" before stabbing people with it. Awful group overall, and I wasn't too hot myself tbh, but mentor pulled off a LB3 revive/heal to keep us going and we downed her with like 1 minute left on the timer. Epic moment, and the mentor got my commendation tbh. I'm exhausted now though. :P

The seeds get knocked back twice?!

I've not skipped the second set of seeds going out, but I have been in groups where we've ignored them and just killed her before she finished her cast.

I've also seen this. On the flip side, I once saw them get knocked back 3 times.

The point I was making is that great dps equals being able to skip the knockback seeds. Not skipping them, however, does not equate to bad dps. Getting to another set of them does, though.

You need to prove they are using such things, but kicking people for low DPS is reportable ( yeah folks gonna probably jump on me for saying that )

You can kick people for a "difference of play style." So it really isn't reportable unless they flat out say "My DPS meter says you are doing X amount of DPS and it is too low, so we are kicking you."

Never had a bot before in Expert but I guess there's a first time for everything!

Queued up for Expert just now and get Anyder. When I got to initiate the pull, I notice my HP getting progressively lower. I then see the healer standing at the entrance having not moved a muscle. While I'm handle to live for a while, I eventually die and only once the mobs move towards the Black Mage does she start "healing." And when I say healing, I mean spam nothing but Cure I repeatedly. When I return and pull mobs off the DPS... she continues to spam Cure I despite me being at full HP. I tried talking to them in chat but no one said a word. At that point, I opted for a Vote Kick which was quickly denied. So I suspect one of the DPS were either the main account, thus ensuring no one can kick them. At least not unless you're also in a party.

Either way, I wound up leaving. I'd rather take the penalty than carrying a bot through.

Edit: I just checked contacts. All three were from the same server. And both she and the BLM are in the same FC. No doubt now they were a bot.
