    It's really not as hard as you make it out to be, to DPS on a boss. You might lose a couple of GCDs to having to move away from the boss, but really, it's such a minor issue that it's not an issue. Also, you can sorta keep track of party DPS on the threat bars below our job plates; it's how I know when players are doing garbage DPS during raids, when their in eighth place on threat below the healers and OT without tank stance on. Do us all a favor and stop making excuses for horrendous play. No one is saying players have to be all optimal all the time, because god that would be so exhausting, but there's a difference between that, and being a freestyle samurai, or a BLM who is pulling less DPS than a healer, or a tank who refuses to do mechanics, or a healer who stands on the other side of the arena to spam Medica 2. There's a difference between a bit suboptimal, and not playing the game correctly to the detriment of everyone around you.

    I dunno if Expert roulette is toxic, but some of the Ex forum advice can be; Not on here, but on other forums, it seems like Experts want only experts on the content that the roulette queues them for. =x

    Anyway, I have no bad stories to share today, DF was nice. Alliance Raid was quiet and no one really said anything. Pretty dull day in DF, and that's what we want, aye?

    Is it really expected that the boss will be killed before the second seed drop? I don't think I've ever been fortunate enough to see that happen.

    Not sure what boss you're referring to.

    Edit: Oh the grand cosmos seed lady boss. I've never been in a group that killed her before the second round of seeds, I don't even know if that's possible, since the time between the first and second isn't very long.

    I think they meant the second time where the seeds get knocked back. The first one is a bit of a freebie, and DPS would have to be amazingly great to skip the first knocked back one entirely. I think I've seen it happen, but it's definitely not the norm or expected. If they meant the first knockback one then their definition of good dps is skewed.

    You need to prove they are using such things, but kicking people for low DPS is reportable ( yeah folks gonna probably jump on me for saying that )

    Do not need an add on to tell ya something is taking far longer then normal to die.

    To be fair anything is reportable, I can report someone for how their glamorous their glam is, but the question is will action be taken, and even unless the party mentions this is why they were removed the GM has their hands full.

    Just got done with a Mt. Gulg run thanks to Leveling Roulette. Myself as White Mage, with a PLD, BLM, and SAM. The PLD was doing pretty good, and was even double pulling, which should've made things go by nice and quickly. They did not, and it wasn't hard to find out why. Just watching the BLM's casting bar and seeing nothing but Blizzard II all the way up to the first boss was enough. But no matter—I'm a White Mage. Holy spam is half the reason I play the Job.

    Then we get to the first boss. BLM is casting spells completely at random. Stuff like Blizzard I, Transpose, Fire IV, Fire III, Transpose, Blizzard IV, Blizzard III, and so on. And they keep getting hit by the boss's AOE. The SAM, meanwhile, never uses Higanbana, and is also getting hit by damn near everything. No matter, I'm a White Mage. I have enough free healing to keep everyone alive.

    The pulls up to the second boss are more of the same, as is the second boss, except this time the BLM collects enough candy that getting hit by one of the donuts deals >100% of their HP in damage. No matter, I'm a White Mage. Quickcast, Raise, back to Glare Sp-why didn't they get raised? Now this bit was my fault: I must have forgot to target them for Raise, so I wasted Quickcast on a Glare instead. And with Quickcast Raise being a 7.5 second cast, I decided not to bother as the boss was nearly dead anyways.

    The pulls up to the Forgiven Revelry miniboss, same as before. And then I let the SAM die. Not by choice—even White Mages can run out of free healing eventually, and I was busy both trying to stay alive and heal the tank while the SAM was getting hit by every single slap. No matter, I'm a White Mage. Quickcast, Raise.

    And finally, Forgiven Obscenity. Lots of candy was dished out, but thankfully she doesn't have nearly enough back to back mechanics for them to add up as quickly as the first and second bosses, so nobody actually dies this time. Run's over, comm the tank, wait for my loot, and I'm the last to leave. No comms for me, not even from the tank. The whole run took about 30 minutes, too, so running with Trusts would've actually been faster, though I wouldn't have gotten my free clusters for doing so.

    The seeds get knocked back twice?!

    I've not skipped the second set of seeds going out, but I have been in groups where we've ignored them and just killed her before she finished her cast.
