Whats with the chemist obsession?

So I have been reading the job guesses and most make sense: Geomancer, Beastmaster...etc those guesses have large amount of hints and references in game or in interviews but people are really excited about Chemist. Did I miss a mention in game or an interview?

Mostly because a lot of people want a non-magic healer and Chemist was incredibly fun in FFX-2, which is the version most people remember.

• Can probably bring the Mix command, a series staple seen on characters like Rikku
• Chemists are cute
• Chemist/Salvemaker is one of the most broken jobs in series history and people have fond memories of them
• We really want to see healers shaken up, literally and figuratively
• There's a lot of possible weapons for them, and all of them would be fresh and welcome additions

I vaguely remember both, which means for me it hardly left an impression. Definitely not enough to want it as much as I wanted DNC to be a new healer back in SB. I lean more towards it being players wanting to - for lack of a better word, 'mix' it up in the healing role.

There's only so much you can mix up though, and honestly seems like a pipe dream when you consider how much healers have been homogenized. If Chemist was released tomorrow, it would be subject to the same constrictions the other three healers face. Still, it's not a bad thing to theory craft and play around with the idea of it, or any new job. Chemist just happens to be one of several jobs SE could possibly introduce at some point.
