I made the thread about raiding becoming less optional the OP is referencing. He’s right about all the semantics going on in that thread. It’s really stupid. Like arguing with a bunch of lawyers about what the word “is” is.

That said, I love this game (obviously) and this is one of the better communities I’ve been a part of.

The forums of any game are just weird. I made that thread knowing the kind of hate I was going to get. You just have to have a thick skin and understand that the forums represent less than 1% of the game’s population. Most people don’t post on forums anymore, especially with the advent of social media.

The in-game community is outstanding. The forum community is like any other. Kinda dumb.

Oh, please. It is not "semantics". There's a real and HUGE difference between alliance raids and 8-man hardcore raids, and people like you lump em together as "raids" to spread panic that SE is going to start requiring people to be hardcore raiders in order to complete MSQ. Your title in that thread is intentionally misleading and you're trying to draw attention to such a non-issue that's only supposed to be a one-time deal because of the content of the MSQ's story. Then, when people tell you that you're worrying about nothing and that SE will never require you to raid to do MSQ, you're just like "lol haters gonna hate".

You're either willfully ignorant at best or intellectually dishonest at worst.
