You don't actually believe SE is going to start requiring us to do random unrelated stuff for MSQ. Nobody is that dumb. Which is a direct violation of the terms of service. Both for RMT, as well as account data sharing.

You might have to clear up what you mean. From what Ive seen, selling clears for gil and the like isnt against ToS. That being said, if they want to be "On your account" to get teh clear, thats on the end user. I dunno who is willing to share their account with a complete stranger and hope it doesnt get jacked or deleted. You play with fire and it burns you, thats on you.

People constantly using party finder for selling art, "porn" and advertising opinions (not game related) as well as discord servers.

Ive never seen this. Ever. Maybe its a new trend, but I have never seen anyone advertise to me when I joined a party or in DF. If its in the PF lists, I just ignore them. Yeah itd be nice to clean up the PF of that garbage, but its such a minor issue I dont personally care, as Im sure most people dont.

The forums have almost always been pretty bad, but literally, this person recently posts about "raids becoming less optional." Instead of discussing how content is becoming less optional the thread is hijacked by people saying Alliance raids are not raids. Like seriously? Who cares, the person didnt say "alliance raids are too hard" they said, that its no longer an option. Which if you want to do just the story, you should be able to. Nothing else is forced on you. You dont have to do FATEs, or Leves, or crafting to complete the story. Imagine if everything became required to complete to progress the story. I bet you'd all be complaining. Imagine end game raiders being forced to get all max level crafters and participate in Ishgard restoration, and Eureka just to unlock a raid, you'd all be crying to no end. You all complain having to do the story in the first place already.

Any mainstream social media discussion platform is gonna have a lot of cancer. As vocal as I am about my personal feelings, I also fully understand that I am only one person in a crowd of people who dont even make up a fraction of the player base. If you go to Reddit or OF here, dont expect to be given sound arguments, good tips, pro strats, or anything else. Half of what is mentioned here on the OFs is either lacking context, misunderstandings (read: User Error), or just plain malicious stupidity made to get a rise out of people. Hell, this thread is probably the same too. Point is, dont get worked up about the OFs. Pick your battles if you want to have them (and I said IF you have them, not when you have them).

Even the dev team doesnt care anymore. The NPCs all turn, laugh, wave, at the exact same time like sync'd robots, and every roulette is the same thing over and over, cause they cant be bothered to make more content. Its been 7 years and we've only gotten 2 Grand Company ranks, and dont get anymore battle leves, only one dungeon per patch, but we keep getting job and now crafter and gatheirng revamps. Like is the game suffereing that bad that none of the jobs or classes are balanced or fun, they have to completely remake every job and class every expansion? Who is even asking for these changes?

This is a completely subjective. Yes, the devs have a formula. Guess what, most companies do. They find what works and streamline for it. Is it always best? No, but were talking about creating a consistent production schedule with content that has wide appeal, while developing a new xpac, while correcting past issues, or condensing skills and tweaking balance to be inline for new content and mechanics. My issue here is that youre over simplifying and frankly not giving enough credit to the devs. Do I always agree with the direction the devs take? No. I have gripes too, but at least I try to think about what their position is too and offer quality feedback when possible.

Seriously.

And GM's dont do a single thing to combat these crazy party finders. Its only going to get worse.

Cant wait till this game stops releasing expansions so the playerbase gets back to people who actually care about the game, and arent here to exploit it.

The Party Finder issue is an old one. I actually don't care about content selling, advertisements or even static posts if they DIDN'T MISUSE THE LABEL SYSTEM SO THEIR STUPID JUNK APPEARS AT THE TOP.

People advertising for in-game events is fine and I encourage it. But again, I don't want it junking up the list for people who actually want to do the content they have listed. Pet peeve right there.

The only raids that will be cannon are CT raids. And the community made its own bed there by constantly cheating the system to get them for Roulette (though not always--they like to come up completely randomly too). I kind of agree with this choice because the storyline is relavent now, but I have a suspicion they'll make the cutscenes unskipable like regular MSQ. If they do, I'm going to laugh because it serves a large portion of the community right.

These forums are mild. Im almost certain the system is entirely based on how many reports a post gets before an actual mod will respond. That's pretty standard but its also a system that is regularly abused IMO.

When they stop making expansions/content it will mean slow death for this game. i agree the GC system needs some love but we'll see what happens after the patch.

Was under the impression that all the raids are canon, just that theyre more side content (unlike lets say seasonal).

I mean other than CT, Omega Weapon and Alexander are directly relevant to the MSQ as without Alex or Omega weapon, there is no way for CT to have traveled to the first as the data collected from both those raids allowed Cid and the ironworks to create the thing in the bottom of CT.

Beyond that, voidark, rabanastar and the like is tangentially related to the MSQ through passing. So its all canon. Just it never was required moving forward in the MSQ.

In regards to that though, this just feels like a non issue in the end. It's not like every single raid is a "must" now, just the single one that is directly and inextricably related to the MSQ for ShB
