It's a form of gas-lighting, mostly. It's certainly true that some posters could stand to be much more civil in regards to their contributions to the forum. Yet at the same time, even when posters are incredibly polite and constructive they often face the same response - assuming they even get a response in the first place.
There's also something of a weird shadow war going on in the background at times. As another poster pointed out earlier on within this very thread, there's a Twitter blog devoted to quoting people from this site which usually leads to the account's followers seeking the quote out and essentially attacking it within the thread.
I've seen posters make a perfectly reasonable suggestions or statements in a thread only to be attacked because whoever runs that particular Twitter account decided that they didn't like it.
There's many other issues too, such as the community representatives rarely posting on this forum after their initial introduction posts. Or responding to legitimate concerns raised by the community, such as the long overlooked post found here:

Which, objectively is a pretty valid subject to be addressed as a high priority. Especially when this isn't the first time that European players have been left out of promotional campaigns for exclusive items.
