Oh, you crossposted this. Okay. Here's my reply again.

I'd wager this will be a non-issue come 5.3. The devs are not oblivious to the unhappiness with which much of the player base regards Castrum Meridianum and the Praetorium. I will be genuinely surprised if their ARR revision todo list didn't include converting Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium into solo duties or light party dungeons.

But at any rate, it sounds like what you want to do is hold people hostage, and if you think that'll cause fewer attitude problems in the DF, you are quite mistaken.

And I'm saying that as someone who has not once in the history of the game ever left a duty at the start just because the roulette didn't put me in the duty I wanted. Forcing people to stay in a duty they don't want to do isn't going to fix anything. The people who would leave and take a 30 minute DF lockout now are the same people who have no reservations against idling at the entrance for fifteen minutes or until the party kicks them. What you ask will just increase nonparticipation.

You can't force people to do dungeons they don't want to do. Holding them hostage will just make things worse for everybody. A better alternative is to increase the rewards to make it comparable to Praetorium's time-reward ratio.

It didn't make the English digest, but they did say those two dungeons are not seeing changes yet. They didn't say never, tho.

That's why I leave when someone else already left first. No lockout, no suffering through a dungeon I don't enjoy for a fraction of the exp I could've had in Prae. Only real loss is the queue time but it's worth it for me purely because Castrum is just so unenjoyable. Not that Prae IS enjoyable, but at least in Prae it's about 70% afking through cutscenes where I can go do something else at the same time.

I'd be sad to see the easy exp go, but frankly this is something I think they definitely should do. Those never should have been group dungeons at all, and I'm glad they seem to agree and haven't made the mistake of filling raids with long cutscenes again.
