Yeah all it would do is shift the demographic of who doesn't have access to housing. It wouldn't actually solve the problem, especially if there are half as many rich people as I've seen suggested around the forums (just going by how often I see people say there's way too much Gil in this game).

I already have a house, but if I didn't I absolutely wouldn't stand a chance of getting a house with an uncapped auction system. It took me years to be able to afford a medium as is. :/
