    Bahamut T7

So...how do you unlock the door to this place once you zone in? I run up to it, and there’s no place to click or anything. I’ve watched videos of people soloing it and they just run up to the door and click on it.

Is there a quest I didn’t pick up or something? After I did T6 nothing happened. The Duty just ended. No cutscene or anything. Did I forget to talk to someone or pick up something?

The door is called "Inner Bulkhead". Does nothing come up when you Target Nearest NPC/Object?

May have been a bug, I don’t know. I actually had to leave the Duty several times, and finally was able to mouse over the door and the pointer turned to a hand, and I was able to go in.

Knocked out T7 and T8 and have been stuck on T9 for hours

It is possible to knock out T9 solo for a few classes. You need to have a good strategy for the first part, be able to survive the transition, and still have enough burst to end it before the mechs really start happening after. Or just put up a PF group, because 2 or 3 people make it a whole lot easier.

Been trying it in RDM and BLM. I can do the first phase fine, but I always die in the final phase because I get killed by Iceclaw. It’s the mechanic that hits you once and doesn’t do any damage initially, but then is supposed to cycle through the whole raid before hitting you a second time. But since it’s just me in there, it hits me again immediately and kills me.

On BLM, which is ilvl 480ish, I can get the boss down to like 2% with all my CDs up. But I can never get her down before that damn ice mechanic. It happens almost immediately at the start of the phase so the fire puddle that removes the initial debuff is not down yet.

I watched a video of a BLM soloing it, but I’m guessing his gear was better than mine because he survived it, but was still low on health at the end.

The transition phase happens around 47%, so you need to push Nael as close to that as possible, have all your burst ready and unload it the second you see the Heavensfall castbar. The cast bar will lock the boss from transitioning until it's resolved, giving you that vital extra few seconds for the last few %. Soloed on War 480.

Get 1 decent healer, have him enrage nael and heal through it while killing it, downside ... waiting for enrage. upside, 0 mechanics
Healer can solo this pretty easy, not that its worth much now.

Man, how'd you do it? I've been trying all morning and it is physically impossible for me to beat the ice mechanic. I'm not exaggerating when I say it happens right away.

    Here's what happens.

I go into the phase on BLM with all my CDs ready to go. All the big hitting nukes. The second the boss lands on me I lay into her with everything I've got. Iceclaw literally hits me back to back in a matter of seconds. Seconds. It is not possible for a human being to move that fast. We are talking about five seconds, tops. I can't drop the boss in five seconds from the time she lands to the time the second snowball hits me. It happens every single time. But yet, in videos I watch, nobody else seems to be getting hit like that so fast. Therefore, I can only assume I'm doing something wrong.

The adds not even out yet, so is there something else I'm not doing? Do I need to be running around or something?

Are you waiting around for the Heavensfall cast bar? Don't just immediately nuke when the boss lands in that phase. Tickle her down to 48-50% and the exact moment you see that cast bar you unleash everything, rain the Fire4's and Despairs with all cd's. The boss is unable to enter the elements phase until the cast bar ends and resolves so you get that valuable 2 sec headstart and spend the time until Iceclaw at the height of your burst. It's roughly 350k health in 15 sec.
