But thats harresment, you cant be this mean!!! xDIt baffles me how people have the patience for this crap. I would have told the scholar "No, you're not in a fight with your fairy. I'm not here for your little RP moment, and i'm not gonna wait for you to RP walk from boss to boss. You can either pull out the fairy and do your job, or you can leave. You want to RP in dungeons? Do it with a full group of friends who are on board with it."
I'd have just kicked them. I love RP, but not when it's actively interfering with a group of strangers that are there to run a dungeon. If you're gonna RP then RP, don't queue up for pug content with people you don't know and expect them to carry you.It baffles me how people have the patience for this crap. I sorta agree but do you know how hard it is to find the terrified ones if they're not right next to you? Especially if it's not a fight you do often it's hard to recognize the debuff in the party list. Of course I'll try but more often than not the puddle will have already dropped before I can make it to them.
Hardly. I always put my stance on when tanking regardless of OT or MT. Without it, if the MT dies it's pretty much going to chew on a healer while I fumble a few GCD's to take aggro. And there's an excellent chance I'll forget during an adds phase that requires aggro. The game gives you a threat meter so it's super easy to make sure you don't overtake the MT.imo it's rude to put your stance on if the other tank already has it.
Or you could just hit provoke and turn your stance on the moment the MT dies. It isn't that hard.Hardly. I always put my stance on when tanking regardless of OT or MT. Ramuhs attacks only eat one of your orbs, not both.
but even if he did eat two, in most cases, ud only want to take one, because it makes it easier for others to collect the nearest orb, and maintain their uptime, and focus less on finding them.
example, my friend was tunnel visioning on MNK.
he saw the party was all ranged dps. he saw the one orb near the boss, and wasnt near anyone else (the 2 tanks were close to their own) he went back to tunnel visioning, and waited for an opening with weaving true north, so he could grab the orb. in short, he looked for it, and then turned off his attention to his surroundings. when he went to grab it, it was taken by the healer, who had grabbed two. he now stopped to figure out where to go to next, and then proceed to run and try and get an orb in time, as he was originally trying to maximize DPS, but not grabbing it early, as it wasnt optimal on uptime. the extra time spent looking for the orb was less dps, and if he were to get the orb too late and die, even less DPS.
1 orb is more than enough per person, a DPS increase (from spending less time trying to collect them) and the safer route as well.

It's easier to just have stance on 100% of the time and Shirk to the MT. That way, you remain number 2 on the list and don't have that second or two before you hit provoke.
Though, I suppose most people don't even know what Shirk is.
Easier until the MT loses threat to you despite your Shirking, and the boss ends up turning around for a cleave.
Because I've seen that happen and at that point I just stop turning my stance on if someone else insists on MTing. Hitting Provoke and throwing stance on is still not any harder than just keeping it on permanently.
Good tanks keep an eye on the threat bar and make sure this doesn't happen.Easier until the MT loses threat to you despite your Shirking, and the boss ends up turning around for a cleave.

This almost happened to me last night. Yay for brand new people, but noooo to an almost wipe on an easy bossI think... we almost wiped in Cape Westwind last night.
Sprout tank cleaving the party; people standing in AoEs; no one picking up the adds, the other healer and DPS getting slaughtered by them. Total body count: 5. A new record, I think! Never saw anything quite like it.
