Grats. Could only do 3 or matches tonight but I'm not at 92/100I had a very pleasant PvP match earlier. Everybody on my team worked together brilliantly and we dominated the other two teams. I'm now up to 45/100 wins for the mount from the Xaela battleground. Almost halfway there - it'll take me a while to acquire it but I'm in no huge rush.
Thanks for helping make the FFXIV community a fun and welcoming place. If you're not sure you have (and you very likely have), make it a point to be patient or helpful the next time you log in so that you can know you've made a difference.
If you're on the Aether data center, congratulations! I might be your nextexciting adventurehealer in the Duty Finder. Please look forward to it.
YeeeeahI recently did a dungeon- I was a red mage; well the SCH with us came in salty or maybe it was something I missed during the run- I'm typically very polite to my groups or very silly.
The tank either upset the SCH or he didn't give 2 cents about anyone but himself-
Either way, he did not heal. Ever. Only his fairy did the healing, nothing else- the tank held aggro just fine- until he would die because the SCH refused to shield or heal-
I started using vercure as often as I could- which allowed the SCH to just continue doing his thing of DPS only.
The tank asks the SCH "You do know you can heal right? Then maybe share some of that healing/ it's your job" And that's all she wrote because the SCH had a page of an excuse pre-written as to why he didn't have to be there, yada yada
The only thing I had suggested is if they didn't want to heal, then just to play something else because it was making our run longer than it needed to be & griefing wasn't the way to go.
Another run with a SCH- I was with a friend who no longer gets on- but we had another SCH with us- different SCH- who refused to bring out their fairy- the SCH walked often, instead of sprinted & finally it hit me- they were RPing. I told my friend that I thought they were an RPer & sure enough, that's what it was.
The SCH was in a "fight" with their fairy, which is why the fairy refused to come out.
Needless to say, that too, was an unnecessarily long run.
Yeeeeeeeeah
That's good stuff.
A few more stories like that and I won't mind going back to healing after I finish leveling some other jobs.

Honestly, I would have just kicked those two SCH's. First one for being a bad player in general and second one for doing something that should be done with friends and not strangers.
Speaking of bad SCH's, I join in progressed Stone Vigil via roulette as WHM and the second I used Regen, the tank said, "Regen! Spells! We're saved!" Apparently they had a SCH who AFK'd and only had their fairy heal and judging their joy at seeing a Regen being used at all, I guess the SCH literally did absolutely nothing. Embrace only.
Earlier I replaced a rdm that was booted from a normal Sohm Al run. Apparently all they did was 95% nothing, 5% hardcasting Verareo. The sch gave up rezzing them after what they said 'was the hundredth death.'Honestly, I would have just kicked those two SCH's. However, that sch you replaced...I have no words.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
I had a WHM in Aurum Vale earlier today while on my 50 WAR (only 50 WAR and DRK left until Amaro mount!) that did nothing but Cure 1. Not even spammed. When we wiped on the first pack with the 1 toad plus 2 mobs I pointed out that Cure 1 alone would not be enough. Next pull they spammed Holy and cast the occasional Cure 1. Not quite what I meant, but it worked and we got to the boss. Cue the Cure 1 only casting again which obvioisly completely failed since there's a decent amount of AoE damage going out in that fight. I vote kicked them, we got another WHM (had to do a double take and scroll up in the battle log because their name was very similar to the first one lol) and it was like night and day. I was able to do full pulls, there was Cure 2, Regen, Holy, Stone and Aero casting, HP never dipped low... It was glorious. We did the rest of the dungeon with no hitches at all.
Oh, I remember having a Verthunder Mage in Sunkern Temple around a year or so ago. I told them they need to cast Jolt and such first before doing that. They used the "it's my first time playing RDM" excuse and then continued to be a Verthunder Mage. "It's my first time" is not an excuse if you don't even try to use the other spells and figure out why Verthunder takes seven centuries to cast. That's just being lazy :U
And yeah, I was speechless. Like sure, you could do this back in StB when pets did whatever they wanted in Sic mode, but now that pet abilities now require you to actually press buttons... SCH's you can't be doing this, c'mon.
Beyblade tanks are a way of life, not something everyone can adhere to.- That reminds me: tanks who are too afraid to pull and don't want to MT, but once I put stance on and pull, they put it on too and start provoking. Like... try to decide? Healers can't use their tankbuster cds efficiently if the boss keeps swapping targets. + imo it's rude to put your stance on if the other tank already has it.
- Also, tanks who roll the boss around. Especially fun with bosses who cleave.
- E4 Titan. MT dead, OT too scared to tank, one of our healers get aggro. What do they do? Bait the boss away from group so the other healer has time to ress our tank? Nah, they bring the boss, who's just about to cleave, straight into the group.
- Double diurnal/nocturnal sect. Since I started leveling astro I've noticed this seems to be some kinda thing? If I put some sect on while the other astro is still viewing a cutscene, they put the same sect on after the fight starts and I can ofc no longer change it. It happened so frequently I eventually stopped putting a sect on before the other astro has put on theirs and combat has started.
- People running away with stack markers, and stacking with spread markers. In 70+ lvl dungeons.
- BLM using only fire 1 and 2 in Holminster switch, going afk all the time, and when asked why are they afk, they say they're fixing their hotbars. When asked is now really the time, and notified they haven't used foul or thunder at all and only occasionally fire 4, they go "stop complaining, this ain't some savage content." They've become such a legend me and friends go "well this ain't some savage content" when we see some coma patients around, pushing only 1-2 buttons.
I guess there's all the juiciest ones for now.
It baffles me how people have the patience for this crap. I would have told the scholar "No, you're not in a fight with your fairy. I'm not here for your little RP moment, and i'm not gonna wait for you to RP walk from boss to boss. You can either pull out the fairy and do your job, or you can leave. You want to RP in dungeons? Do it with a full group of friends who are on board with it."Another run with a SCH- I was with a friend who no longer gets on- but we had another SCH with us- different SCH- who refused to bring out their fairy- the SCH walked often, instead of sprinted & finally it hit me- they were RPing.
