To be fair I've accidentally killed a few groups when she puts that marker on me + the fans, because my brain is still trying to follow the fan mechanics, while everyone is waiting for me to run to the middle(basically the marker mechanic takes priority).

#1 mechanic that gets most people is Selenomancy(this is a cool name that means lunar divination). Just switch sides every time the phase changes, but people wanna get all 4 stacks lol.

It's always the floor mechanic. It wipes the group every single time. Fans get people the first time, but usually after that, people know how to avoid it. As soon as the floor starts changing colors, though, you may as well go ahead and get ready for a second attempt. The group I was in last night wiped FOUR times.

I was on DRG and me and the MT kept trying to explain to everyone how the mechanic works. I move constantly during that phase, going back and forth. I don't even wait for the stacks. So, finally, I just told everyone to follow me.

To the person above that said this is the trial they were going to be doing next, think of it like ping pong. That's what I told the group. Just keep going back and forth between the two halves. We downed her after I explained it that way.

Then I hung myself. But I'm okay now.

Well, if they had a new HLR or one that wasn't paying attention, DPS that didn't use their AOEs, an over eager pulling by a new tank in DoM gear (this is like a thing since DD), and generally new players: then it's totally possible. The first moogle event was just so bad about that...

Had a very similar experience the other day. The majority of the party was brand-new or super rusty on mechanics and kept dying to various things. Wiped twice, kept explaining/calling out mechanics... everyone was willing to try to learn and listen to advice, but couldn't quite get it. Finally on the third pull I stuck a marker on my head and had everyone follow me. Worked like a charm.

So I got out of a run earlier in Sohm Al hard where the whm had unfortunately forgot to repair their gear before queuing and did not realize it. Suddenly halfway through the dungeon up to the second boss the whm is sitting at 6k hp.

At least he was smart enough to have had extra gear with him.

I've been leveling GNB the last week or two as part of getting all tanks to 80 which are my last to get. I've noticed a trend that I'm almost always in the top couple of dps. Heck, earlier today I topped the list in the moon lady trial. I know that GNB dps is on the high side of things, but not that much lol. I can't even rembember a single content that there wasn't at least one dps behind me. On the bright side, I did find out that I actually like how gunbreaker plays which surprised me given that I don't like tanking. I think it's because I feel like I'm dps-ing and the tank stuff is super straightforward.

Edit. Realized this comes across as a brag,but it's definitely not I am not a great tank. Serviceable, sure. Great, no. Just lamenting the low dps I see compared to what I know can be achieved.

I met a lovely group in Pharos Sirius tonight. /s

The group consisted of a PLD, a DRG, a RDM, and myself as WHM. The RDM was using his AOE spells on single targets, the tank was not using any defensive cooldowns, but the DRG was actually alright.

We reach the first boss and chaos ensues. I am avoiding the AOEs and keeping the tank topped up to the best of my ability, while both DPS are taking massive damage. They die soon after and the tank begins to scream at me in the Say chat channel.

"DOMINIQUE" and "HEALER" are the first words I see popping up on my screen. OK this guy is already salty, I wonder why? I raise the RDM and he also throws some babyrage my way, explaining that I should have raised the DRG because they do more damage and "RDM is distance" so it doesn't have raise priority. I'm just questioning my choices at this point.

The boss dies and the tank begins tearing into me; "2 things first before we move on XD" "Dominique move more, avoid AOEs please!" "Focus on healing your tank first, I nearly died". I stand there for a few seconds typing a response and I get dismissed from the dungeon. What a fun time!

That sounds like a DPS provlem, tbh. If they don't kill the adds right away that fight is brutal and usually wipes. If they kill them immediately then it's not quite a walk in the park but becomes massively easier.
