What male outfits of the same quality are getting added in game and not the mogstation? Because there are plenty of female glamour options in game as well.
Fixed that for you.
You want to talk inventory space? SE rents you extra inventory space if you want it, otherwise provides you with a fairly decent amount of it out the gate. Best comparison is wow.
Lets just copy paste this to save myself time:
WoW:
Inventory - 5 Slots with a bag size of 32 Items...so 160 Space. You have to craft/buy these bags. Keep in mind 32 is what I could find on a google search, so if theres a larger bag, let me know.
Bank - 28 Starter Slots + 7 Bags (32 items a pop) so....252 Slots.
Total of 412 Items in a standard inventory
FFXIV
Immediate Inventory - 140
Chocobo Saddle bag - 70
Retainers - 175 x 2
I would hazard most players dont get extra retainers and make do with what they have. And no one get cute with "They should give it to us." Inventory space is always a hot topic in MMOs and will probably always will be. The difference here is that they give us pretty decent space out the gate, then offer more if you want it. Then as for making money - thats a bit more complicated. While sending out more retainers does increase the odds of getting good resale items, its not a very efficient method. As an example, on Sarg if I grind out 2200 Firmament Scrips and buy and sell a firmament glamour, thats 500k right now. Thats a few hours of work at most. Ive sent my retainers out for a week straight almost back to back when possible, and have made no where near that in their returns. Quick explore and the like are gambling. If you want to make real money in the game, crafting and gaming the MB itself by holding onto items till they maximize in price is how you do it. You can literally make millions of Gil by selling mats for crafted gear and the like with proper timing.
With those who I know have extra retainers, they dont own them to increase MB sales, they own them for storage. And even then the caveat is they have it for housing and glamour purposes predominately, or stocking up on mats to sell later. You think we need more inventory space? Fine, lets discuss that. We can discuss actual changes that make a lot more sense, like a glamour system more like WoWs.
Gotta point out that most of the added hairstyles in the game tend to be much more masculine leaning then feminine. So why you argue about good mens outfits, where are all the nice women's hairstyles? Its a bit of give and take. And to be 100% honest, glamour has been a lot more neutral sex the last year or so.
Looks like you don't understand at all what I'm talking about... I'm ONLY talking about exclusive items currently created for the mogstation. And I was only replying to DevilsDontFly and his comment about "waifu". And I somehow agree with him.
Just go watch exclusive items at the mogstation -and at the mogstation ONLY- that have been created for both gender, I mean non-gender locked and with the same appearance for both gender and non-Scion related, they are all dresses :
Angelic Wings
Demonic Wings
Mheg Deaca Wings
The only exception in the Carbuncle them.
EDIT : There is another exception : Eastern Journey Jacket
All others are different for each gender.
About haircuts, they are... made to please the Harajuku pop-culture ^_^

Masculine leaning indeed.

Thanks for listing out hairstyles that have either been around for a while or are gender neutral leaning masculine.
It's a bit more nuanced than that, since a lot of the outfits added to the Mog Station are typically designed after particular NPC's. There aren't many examples of that within the game itself. I purchased Thancred's unique outfit from the Mog Station when it was first made available, though that was years ago. I would've purchased Hien's outfit as well if it weren't for the stretched textures.
It's much more common for female NPC's to also receive a unique outfit or at least an outfit of higher quality compared to their male counterparts. Lyse's dress is a lot more detailed and completely unique, whereas Hien's outfit is a modified version of an existing armour set complete with stretched textures. If we're being generous, both characters are of equal importance in Stormblood. If we're being realistic, Hien ended up playing a much larger role.
Alma and Ramza are another example. Alma's dress is unique and Ramza's clothing isn't.
There's plenty of unique outfits for male characters if we look at antagonists such as Gaius and Nero. Yet mysteriously the only antagonist to have their outfit added to the game is - surprise, surprise - a female character. Namely Edda.
Sounds like everyone's losing out here lmao
So of the 12 styles there... 3 are what I'd call masculine, 3 are what I'd call neutral or tomboyish on a girl, one I'd call neutral leaning toward feminine, one I'd call feminine but pretty on a guy anyway (my male miqo retainer had the big ponytail for a while), and four I'd really call feminine (one of which I personally think looks meh at best and hilariously bad on Miqo'te, guess which)
Assuming I did my math right I mean... hairstyles seem kind of even?? Really cute feminine and really handsome masculine looks both seem to be lacking imo.
