Also the dress just plain looks unflattering on my character. Frankly it looks way better on one of my FC mates male Miqo'te than it does on my Viera girl. I won't be buying it :P

I think some things just sit better on male Miqo'te because of their wide stance. One that stood out to me is the Taoist robe which never looked right on anyone else because it sticks out quite rigidly, but the Miqo'te stance fits into the shape of the robe better and looks less awkward. (Haven't tried it in motion yet though - it might still look dreadful...)

If anything I think SE needs to stop siphoning money from ffxiv. We all know they are doing it, how else did they fund ff7r. More money needs to be put into the game and giving to the devs who work extremely hard

If they try to release non gender-locked clothes... they do some kind of priest dress. That's strange they never consider some kind of trousers. They will dress men like women rather than giving "male" clothes for both gender.

So... what about all the veteran rewards then? And I'm not even going to start listing in-game outfits but there are plenty that involve a shirt and pants.

Yeah they seem to use Male Miqo'te as their base model for a lot of unisex items. Then there's the occasionsl outfits like the Princess dress where I legit don't think the artist considered any race other than lalafells would even wear it - as the way they stand makes them the only race where their hands arent clipping through the skirt.

I compare current expansion to the previous one, and this one is lackluster in a lot of areas but mainly on battle content for casuals.
The gear we got a lot of it is also just a recolor of the previous one.
Crafting and gathering content is boring and pointless, fishing is even more, eureka was more fun than that.
Also no hildibrand, no palace of death, and so on and so forth i could go on and on for the rest of the day, and if you really dont see the quality going down then i cant help you see it.

And I like gathering and crafting content, it's pretty chill, fishing was fun too. Eureka was some stupid grind, so I hated it.
I don't see the quality going down, since we're only on the first year of the expansion, and SE will add more content later. Plus they stated that they will focus on quality, rather than quantity. Plus the whole situation with covid made everything harder.
And I don't see how your comment has anything to do with cash shop team putting more items to the cash shop. They don't work on the game itself.
We got new plenty of entirely new sets too.

I really don't get how you can not have issues with a game that forces you to buy it, the expansions and pay a sub to access it and still sell you exclusive glamour in the Cash Shop.

Every mog station update the waifu warriors decide to attack again with threads like this. Meanwhile me and other male character players are sitting here like: "Just stop releasing dresses, female NPC only gear and feminine looking attires and give me something already".

My take on it, because so many people use the argument "but I pay a sub, I paid for the game".
I paid for the game. I got the game.
I paid a sub for the service the game offers and for regular patch content. I get a service and regular patch content.
I paid for the expansions. I got the expansions.

The devs offer something extra on a cash shop that doesn't impact anything in game and doesn't deprive you of anything and doesn't give you any disadvantage in game?

People complain. Yet to me it's: I want extra vanity stuff. I pay for extra stuff.

I see the comparison to Korean MMOs.
Archeage? Used to sell items that'd give people an advantage.
BDO? Not much variety in vanity items until you get to the cash shop.
FFXIV? Nothing to give you an unfair advantage. Way more vanity items attainable in game than the cash shop. And you have loads of variety without even paying extra. Seriously, for people who love glamour, this game has a fantastic variety of options versus other MMO's I've played without the need to touch your wallet.

Or compare to SW:TOR, actual functionality and features are locked behind a cash shop. You can pay a sub at least to gain it back...and still buy stuff on the cash shop. WoW has a cash shop, which is mostly just vanity stuff too. I seems to be a part of the MMO economy. But I would be interested to see how funds are distributed out of FFXIV. Without knowing that, I'm not inclined to say they're wrong or greedy for having a cash shop to make extra money.

If the store got excessive, then yes, I'd complain, but what we've been seeing added is pretty much the status quo so far. In fairness, some items I think are a tad expensive for what you get. But at the moment, what they offer feel like "extra" stuff to what they offer in game.

If, for example, we suddenly started seeing primal weapons on there, like the ones we've been waiting for on DNC or GNB or new ones for newer trials then I'd be like WTH? And would say "fair enough, I'll complain too". The fact we haven't got them on DNC or GNB is also legitimate complaint.

Re. male outfits (and with just a little bit of showing off since I posted a few things there), this thread on modern/casual outfits has some ideas. There's a lot more still to experiment with though. I'm still needing to get my alts further into the game, particularly the one I'm trying to stick to more modern casual designs for.
