Please either buy the faerie costume or don't. I never hear anyone piss and moan about the Feast gear or Extreme/Ultimates gear but as soon as you can get it for money with no othet effort--bring out the flame throwers. For heaven's sake...

People do actually regularly complain about the Feast top 100 rewards, but only because they're time exclusive

Just to nitpick, this ain't nothing new, with or without skip books. POTD/HOH allow you to get to 70 without the foggiest idea of how to properly play a job anyway. I already meet enough people at level cap that don't AOE in big pull moments, people ignoring free damage abilities, healers not dpsing, tanks not CDing, etc. A player starting at level 1 or 70 is irrelevant if they have no intention to learn.

You really don't get it, do you? The Mogstation art team is an independent entity. Yoshi P and his developers are not "tossing" anything into the Mogstation, since they don't produce any of the gear that ends up there.

This, Yoshi-P has been pretty frank during live letters that he has no control over the department that heads the Mog Station nor what they end up putting on there. He can talk with that department and suggest things, but ultimately the items they offer and the price of said items is completely out of his hands. It isn't always even the same art team that renders the items either.

All that to say I get the frustration but you can't look at this like a glamour that was carved out of the game to be sold to spite us players. Because it was made from start to finish as a mog station exclusive, just like most of the other non-festival related items on there. We would have NEVER gotten this item if the Mog Station team didn't put up the resources for it with the explicit intent to sell it.

Best way to handle it is to just boycott the Mog Station if this bothers you. Because they aren't going to bend on this.

In fairness, and not saying I agree with OP, Memoria Misera ex does in fact drop a full set of left side gear. Not all at once, but...
