Once we give NPCs their housing, we'll then need to maintain their upkeep. You can't expect them to live in those houses without giving players something to do!

All they did in Stormblood was add Shirogane in 4.1 then increased the number of wards in all districts from 12 to 18 in 4.2 since Shirogane almost instantly filled up on many worlds. There was no content build up like're getting with Ishgard Restoration.
I am new to posting on the forum but I've read some over the past year since I started playing but I wanted to say you two are in my opinion some of the most enjoyable Lalafell to read.
I totally agree with this. More wards and plots are needed now! Not later, not soon, now. Many houses are still owned by alts and FCs can buy SMALL plots for their companies. That is one of the reasons housing is broken af. With so many people in their database, it should be fixed already. Everything is FULL.

Not all FC's have 100+ members there are a lot of small FC's out there. The problem I have with FC's and housing is seeing 150 member FC crammed into a small while right next door is a 5 memeber FC with a large O.o. My FC has 10 memebers and a Medium we don't need a large house or want one. We also feel us having a small would be just taking a up a house that could be used for a personal or much smaller FC.I totally agree with this. More wards and plots are needed now! Don't see the problem. Assuming those 5 members are legit players, they still had to raise the gil to buy the large.
Additionally if they purchased that large in a new ward, they had to beat server errors, the q etc to get that plot.
Adding new wards is not gonna fix the fact that there's a limited number of Mediums/Larges.
Blame SE for introducing artificial scarcity in virtual worlds.
