Based on what Miste said both here and in previous posts, I agree that what Miste says is probably right - that he wasn't being salty. That said, Miste, in the future, you should probably take (and edit) screenshots of the chat window when something like this happens that you think you'll want to post here, that way people like TheForce who question exactly what happened because you didn't show proof will have their proof to look at. If you're worried about showing things like Guild/Linkshell chat, you can always black that stuff out when you black out the names (leave enough that it's obvious that what you're blacking out isn't party chat, tho), but you should otherwise provide as much of the chat log as is relevant. It's something everyone should be doing more of anyway, including myself.

P.S. If you stream or record, that works too, but editing clips to omit names is much harder, meaning you should probably turn on "short names" for both chat and the player list if you do that.

Party A, though? My party? All but one of the healers said they had done it before. But oh my god. We wiped to Agrias because our tank decided not to actually tank the add, party wiped a couple of times on Agrias in fact, and we caused two Alliance wipes on TG Cid. Everything from the healers not actually healing the Doom debuff away, to not DPSing the shadows, to pulling Crush Weapon through the entire party, to not doing Duskblade, etc...

...wait there's a Doom debuff there?

Heh. I have only been through there 3 times but we must have had Healers so experienced with the raid, I never *had* to notice it.

You watch, next time I'll eat it big time. Ha!

When good ol' TG Cid bellows out the line "The hearts of men are black with corruption and must needs be cleansed!", he'll drop everyone in the alliance down to 1% or so HP and inflict Doom on them. In order to cleanse it, healers have to raise everyone's HP back up to 100%.

So if you ever hear him say that, and a while after that an entire party just drops dead? It's probably 'cause of that. Had that happen to my party the other day, and one of healers was so ashamed they apologized and dropped from the group. It was a shame, 'cause aside from that one slip up we were doing pretty well.

Mistakes happen, absolutely. Goodness knows I'm not a perfect player, I mess up plenty. That healer sounds like they were a bit too hard on themselves. ;;

Here is another story where a tank insta-leaves and a new tank comes in. This time, I queued as a WAR tank for Trials Roulette and got Susano normal. A bonus message of a first timer who needed it for story progression comes up. No biggie. My WAR co-tank had the i505 Edenchoir Axe. Cool and grats. You'd think he'd set a good example of manliness and stuff. But he ended up an unmanly coward by leaving instantly (he could have at least let us know or something if anything somehow came up.) In comes a GNB tank a few seconds later.

Despite a few mistakes that knocked a few healer and DPS members out, our team beat Susano in one attempt. In the end, we got the last laugh with wins whereas the WAR tank who got a 30-minute penalty with nothing to show for it (not to mention he tarnished the reputation of the hard-working raiders in my eyes as well).

I had a Twinning run that consisted of:

2 1st boss wipes
2 2nd boss wipes and only clearing on the 2nd because I used the secret Joestar technique to pop sprint and kite the boss so it couldn't autoattack me

A vote dismiss and waiting for a new healer

Raid roulette as GNB, got Alexander Prime. Had some new people. Offtank was a new sprout but had their "iron will" on so I figured they were willing to do it.

Caught on pretty quick that they had no intention or idea of what they were doing because they didn't try to MT or turn the boss around. If I didn't catch on quick then the entire raid would've gotten cleaved by the relatively immediate attack right after combat begins.

The DPS in the party was crazy though. I... had no idea a normal mode raid boss would flat out skip a mechanic. He tried doing gravitation and before it even resolved it all vanished so he would do Summon Alexander.

Had yet another annoying LotA run early this morning but this time Alliance C just WOULD NOT listen to anyone and I think we wiped 3 times on last boss because of Ancient Flare. I'm amazed no one left.

I was in a Trial Roulette, I got Byakko. So far so good.

One of the other dps said hello and used my full name. I have never seen that character before.
