    Or any of the Umbral elements in general actually. Unless they just plan on continuing black mage spells but then we never see any Earth/Wind/Water past 72. Not that we ever saw many water based spells to begin with.

    Seemed like such as waste anyway, those three elements never get to be seen in the highlight of "big numbers damage" that they really should be capable of.

    I can’t name a single Spell that would
    Complement the “Time Mage” Job. Haste, Slow....do they attack? It fits in FFV since it’s shallow iterations and you can have cross class abilities. But as a FF14 they need to pull a Bard and fuse two shallow iterations and make it whole

    Geomancy is well established in the AST quests. It appears to be the Far Eastern equivalent of conjury.

    It’s definitely not established as Far Eastern Conjurory though. Levava has seen Conjury before, but still talks about it as a whole new magic. It has 3 placeholder animation I will give you that, but Alisae was using gladiator skills with a rapier before they released redmage as a class.

    Those Geomancer spirits in HoH and Swallow’s Compass are Geomancers, and definitely not using conjury.

    Regardless what lore they come up with(I personally thought that lore explanation was roundabout BS personally), gunblades have been around since FF8 and it's clear they were riffing on that look, and also clear the FFXIV players wanted gunblades because of that.

    Time Mages had bs attacks like Quarter (Saps 1/4 of target's HP) or Demi (Saps 1/2 of target's HP) or Reflect (Reflects white, red, time, and black magic), which would not work in a MMORPG.

    They would really have to change how all of those spells work to implement it. Is it really worth the effort?

    Plus the signature Haste, which is beyond busted in XI, would be impossible to make work in XIV, also Yoshi stating he would never put Haste in the game.

    Might have said he wouldn't put Haste in but, just look at the old Arrow Card and tell me that wasn't Haste.

    There are a lot of Time Magicks out there, the big ones that most people know are indeed Haste, Slow, and Stop. They also are know to have Gravity/Demi/Halve whatever the game wants to call it and Reflect as Edax pointed out. Going all the way back to V though they have Comet and Meteor for attacks. Regen is another spell that pops up often for them. Float, Immobilize, Quick and Disable (Disable was an old AST skill much like SCH/SMN had Virus) would be hard to put in sure. If you want to add the Bravely Default series into the mix, they also have are Earth magic casters with Quara. Think XII has the biggest list of Time Magicks cause the license for it also have Bleed, Berserk, Balance, Warp, and oh, Vanish is something that appears a lot as well.

    Simply put, there's enough Time spells out there that they could make a fully fledged caster out of it. BLM gets around with only 3 elemental spells and some nonelementals
