If that's the case then I dunno. The store team most likely made this mount just for that if thats the case.

I mean, its a rabbit mount being released around Easter time..when we usually have said rabbit involved in the Easter event. I'd be shocked if this wasn't made specifically for selling at this point in this point in the year lol

I think the timing is making people ehhhhh more than the mount itself. Were this put out in summer or winter the connection to the holiday would be less obvious.

Now here is a theory. What if the reason they don't have loot boxes is because they don't have enough items to fill it yet. So, give the game a couple more years, and maybe more funding to the mogstation team and we will get them!

I highly doubt that, people dont like lootboxes to begin with, I think it would effect the game Negatively if they suddenly made Lootboxes and forced you to get items via a roulette, and have to keep paying for said Roulette. They have more then enough items to fill Lootboxes, but its smarter to just sell the items Wholesale. People get what they want, the statistics show what people like...they can make more, and maybe better quality...which would drive up the price.

But hey, give people want they want/Like, and they will pay for it.

It was a joke. But seriously, they do not actually have enough items to fill a lootbox series for maximum profit. They do have enough mounts, but have been selling them directly for years. So. they would have to come up with new and unique mounts with maybe some "carrot on the stick" "bonus" current mounts. They also do not have enough trash to fill the lootboxes to promote continuous buying to get the "desirable" item. You wouldn't want to waste your whole shop on one single lootbox season, they should want to stretch out the desirable items they have throughout the year with bulk trash.

Speaking of ESO, since it is somewhat relevant to this. They actually do season events, and give a handful of things you can earn in game, but have limited themes items on sale for premium currency. With their PvP event earlier this year, they had weekly limited items. As in, it seemed you had one week to buy some items before they rotated to other season themed items the next week. On top of the already limited event duration. Pretty crazy.

They're charging for vanity items and jump potions. Not taking things away from the game. If they started taking the mick and the balance was off on what they're adding to the shop, especially if they're taking content and features from the game and locking them behind another pay wall, then yes, I would have a problem.

But the odd vanity item and jump potions? Absolutely fine. SE have remained a consistent balance with what goes on the mogstation that I've never felt to be unreasonable and I don't feel they have ever abused it.

Vanity is a part of the game. If you can see that then I dont know what to tell you. They have basically done everything but sell power at this point. Why do people have to wait for that to say something. You maybe fine with it but Im not. Its unreasonable to ask your customers to pay for a sub that may include storage and expansions and then bait them with "vanity" items in an ever growing cashshop. When I first started playing all that was in there was dye, change potions and last years seasonal events items. Now its like a f2p cashshop that would make some of them blush...hell even Fornite skins are cheaper lol.

That's weird, i cannot remember being forced by SE to pay for any extra retainer. Same for the OPTIONAL mounts (which are just a few compared to all the ones already available for us to obtain for free)

So i hope you are joking. If your not then I hope you at least realized that people like to have things or craft. Before the glamour dresser you needed retainers for your glamour. Are you just playing dumb? Surely you could have thought of this yourself. Just because you dont need more retainers doesnt mean everyone else doesnt. I wish people for once would just think about everyone in the game and not just themselves.

Seasonal Event Items are typically 1-shot. You have your chance to get it in game for free if you were there for the event.
Most games once its over, its over, and you missed your chance if you wernt there. I think thats fair enough even if it sucks and you want it. But in this game while sometimes its expensive, you have a chance to get it in a cash shop after a time. Id say thats pretty generous.

Damn you guys sound like batter partners. Its generous that after we pay sub and expansions that they let us buy a mount with giving us a chance to get it in game. really? lol

Why is this a big deal that it's there? I never seen this mount in the game before.. so to me it's just like all the mounts the mogstore team - who is completely different team then the content team mind you- So what's the big deal? Does the event tease this mount or something? Why are people freaking out over this?

I wrote the post to highlight how event style items are going straight to cash-shop instead of being an event in the game. Its the same song we have been singing since SB came out and they really started stocking this cash-shop like its a F2p game.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Go play archage, black dessert, and Tera before you say that. FFXIV is no where near those actual free to play games. Oh and no where near as bad as fallout 76 or ESO.
