Oh of course, SE is a huge company and they love to milk their customers. Its just funny that at the time when the mog station was only used for old event items and some of us warned that this could open it up to more items we got shut down. And now when people dare to complain about having more and more items locked behind a paywall we are told off and should just accept it.

At such a time I just remember a few of Jim Sterlings videos and sigh about the argument that this is just something extra and you dont have to buy it.

Yoshi P has said before that the game's money doesn't always go back into the game. I think it is pretty obvious when SE's got a hot new title they're working on, the game suffers a bit. Unfortunately, the devs probably DO need whatever money they can get from the cash shop to keep pushing out content, because they definitely don't get the money and manpower they deserve. Still though, every business exists to make money, so a little greed is always a factor.

Why should we believe them? Are you telling me that its only thanks to the cash shop that we can get new content? How bad would that be for the game itself..we had over a million of active subs. Then the x amount of fantasia potions and other stuff..it would be a sad day if cash shop is necessary..its just extra easy to make money.

Yoshida is also part of the the board of directors at SE. He should be able to make quite some decisions.

In the end 99,9% of the time such a speech is just pure PR.

What are you talking about? The in-game event comes out on Monday. It's on the lodestone. We're getting 2 different bunny outfits, a stuffed bunny, and a poster.

The timing is weird but spriggans aren't necessarily spring themed and seems to be a higher quality than most non-mogstation mounts. Are we going to have this thread whenever a cash shop mount happens?

So spriggan is a character in that event and suddenly they introduce it as a mount around that time of the event..sorry but I 100% see a connection there.

And yes if people are annoyed by it they could if they want create a thread to every cash shop mount that gets released. I mean nobody is forced to read it.

Exactly this. Idm random stuff like the Whale, i do mind clouds bike is faster by default but whatever... but the bunny like creature we've been gettin as a guest star since many years now IS just, idk, i dont like it. idm some insane grind for it but straight to the shop? At least give it a 30% discount during easter or smt >_>

I mean.. it's never going to go away, and it's not like the mount was going to be part of the event. Most likely the mog team were planning this to come out yes around the event. It's called marketing. And also yes, I'm pretty sure YP can't tell them what to make since that's not his team. The mogteam is completely different then the team he is actually in charge of. And Also yes, if the mogshop wasn't here you can bet this mount would NOT be here. As most of the things that are new that show up there are only there because the shop exist. That is the whole point of that store.

You can not like it but that doesn't change anything. The only way for the cash shop to not be here would be for our subs to increase because thats how it works. So I guess if you want your sub to be like 50 bucks then sure.

I'm not happy that gorgeous spriggy mount was placed in the cash shop either, but it's hard to he shocked by the decision. I'm even willing to bet it might have initially been an event reward, and then a lala-minded individual in marketing saw it in action and said, "That will sell like crazy. Replace his eggs with general stones, and put it in the shop asap"

And this person is not wrong. We can gripe about it all day, but that mount is likely selling like hot cakes, right now. I'm even tempted. Really tempted. I've never bought a CS mount, but I am compelled by spriggys. Not sure my will is strong enough to resist this one.

Honestly, I am surprised they haven't done season passes on top of this yet. You know it's gonna happen.

They haven't made it into a Pay to Win model so I think we can rest easy, and yes I wish some of those things could be obtained in game.

So if they stopped having glamour in the game you are cool with that too? If they charged for dungeon runs thats cool? If you have been playing the game for a while you would know this is not an "every so often" thing.

That arguement make 0 sense. You're talking about removing features or charging extra for core gameplay that has never once been a thing ever. No one would be ok with that because that would be a change of service and many would simply find another game to invest in.

The developers know that item popularity depends a lot on exclusivity and its why so many items are gated behind Savage/Extremes/Ultimates/ and PVP. Beyond the Extremes, those other mounts are unattainable for me. The cash shop is no different except those items are available to EVERYONE, regardless of skill level. You just have to pay.

If you don't like the cash shop or the concept of it, don't buy from it. I'm just glad its not locked behind BS currency packs. There's Crysta but you can buy literally 1 dollars worth or anything between or just buy it out right otherwise. We've got it good here. I wish the cash shop had more stuff.
