Unpopular Opinion - Housing Demolishment should be much stricter

I'm spending on close to nothing but just getting the gear to level crafters and gatherers, and I've been under the amount I need for a medium for close to a year now... how are people just rolling in gil?? Is it crafting? Playing the market? Some greater arcane secret that I'm just missing???

It mostly comes down to knowing what sells and what doesn't. I play the market quite a bit and, while I'm never filthy rich, I'm never doing without. I always get what I want/need. You also have to be aware of the many ways to obtain various items. Just over the past few days alone I've made close to 4-5 million gil thanks to the Ishgardian Restoration stuff. One also has to know when to play the market, like right now, and what sells the best. Even selling things at 10k a pop it all adds up. Running roulettes is also the same way. Might not seem like a lot individually, but that 10-15k per roulette will add up rather quickly. I don't craft, at least not hardcore. Just about all crafting I do is for beast tribe dailies, though I did pick up my CRP to do some Restoration crafting to see how it is. I lost most of my interest in that over a couple of days of Ishgard crafting, so who knows when I'll pick it up again. But yeah, other than that I don't craft at all.
