Please Remove Housing Timers During the Covid-19 Epidemic

More people died from H1N1 within the same time-frame than COVID-19. The only thing that makes COVID-19 particularly scary is the lack of vaccine. As of right now, the medical industries best advice is to treat it like a normal case of the flu. I.E. Bed rest, no excessive activities, plenty of fluids, etc...

Yes because I'm sure the closure of schools, other public services, restaurants and bars, and banning large gatherings is totally treating this like a normal flu

Whether a person wants to treat this like a normal flu or not is not always their choice. If your workplace shuts down for a while, and you can't do your job from home...how do you pay your sub if this goes on for longer than you can afford?

And don't go on about how cheap the sub is because that matters very little when you need to budget very carefully because you still need to somehow continue to pay for rent and food even though you cannot get an income.

It's not just about death, it's about do we have the capacity medically to handle if an outbreak occurs.

That said, it is a different variant of other flus. So without a vaccine and without any real immunity otherwise it has the potential to hit harder depending on one's health. So yeah, it's a bit of a big deal, but it mostly is just another flu...with higher risks, obviously. Some precautions should obviously be taken regardless until the world gets a handle on this thing. Thankfully, there's a vaccine already being put through trials. That's actually pretty impressive.

I feel they can wait a bit longer to decide on the COVID-19 response. It's likely many people will end up losing their jobs in the service/transportation industry. Whether it's layoffs, temporary furlough, or they'll have to take some sort of unpaid leave, and that'll cut into the bills.

At first I was against it, but now hearing about people getting laid off because of businesses not having the money to employ their staff, I am thinking perhaps either a sub discount or housing demo being paused would be good. (sub discount so that people stay indoors and play more, housing paused for those who have had to cancel their sub altogether )

I was referring to the how the individual is treated, not the procedures put in place to prevent the spread.

It would suck if you cant afford it, but it is what it is. I mean, here in America, most of our power companies and local municipalities are not going to execute any disconnects during this time, understanding that there's a good chance that states might issue mandatory quarantine for 2 weeks. Not sure what this point had to do with mine.

I mean, I really got to disagree. Coronavirus says hello. Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying secrets is the answer, just like anybody else, I would obviously rather have the truth. I'm just saying, society feeds off of fear and mass hysteria is more or less a given if anything shatters the veil of a "normal" life.
