Reverting Quality of Life: Tank Stances

Honestly, there's not much to be said on this.

In Stormblood, the conscious and right decision was made to have tank stances remain persistant even when ilvl synching. This was a change that everyone liked!

For some reason, this change was not applied to tank stances when they were changed in 5.0; now tanks are back to forgetting their Shield Oats at the start of dungeons, and while it's a simple fix to just remember and turn it on, after an entire expansion of having a good quality of life here, there's no reason at all not to see that same quality of life reverted in Shadowbringers.

Return persistence through levelsynching for tank stances, please.

    Forgetting happens.
Just say it, it's a one button pressed and done.

It's such a minor, little thing to simply say "hey, turn on tank stance" at the start of every dungeon, or to simply toggle it on the moment you notice a mob's beating your party members up. However, it's equally as minor for devs to just let us have it on all the time through levelsync too. Like, why not? I really don't imagine such a minor request would eat up the devs time a whole ton. I bet even an intern could do it!

This isn't something exclusive to tanks; all jobs lose their persistent effects when level synching. Monks lose their fist buff, Astrologians lose their sect, summoners and scholars have to resummon. It's more of a problem with how persistent buffs are handled in level sync in ShB, and it's something that they probably should address sooner than later.

    Then, let's fix that, too?

I would rather development resources go into things that players cannot fix with a tiny bit of awareness.
It really isn't that big of an issue and to be honest, having people be more aware would be nice.

When you have lag, every action is an adventure.

I think the complaint is that they've already fixed it once. Why did they need to un-fix it?

Let's be honest; Lack of oversight for something like this isn't unexpected from the dev team.
Whatever they did with the 5.0 changes was done without any thought about what they had done for all of 4.0, willing to bet, outside of "What can we do to make tanking easier that was 'hard' in the past? how can we entice more tanks?"
(An aside: Adventurer in need: Tank is the biggest lie of 5.0)

This is my problem with tank stance in ShB, before it was always an active thought, do I have Shield Oath or Sword Oath? I can stance dance to get some extra oomph or to tank swap. Now I literally forget that what stance I am in at any given moment because it has been reduced down to turning it on 10 seconds into the fight as an OT and leaving it, that is the most engaging that it gets.

It'd be nice if tank stance was baked into the job and it was instead a DPS stance that you toggled on in order to halt bonus enmity generation.

Or getting crazy, a stance that you switched on so you could bank the bonus enmity generation, that you could then spend on skills to manipulate peoples aggro levels. Y'know, assuming we went back to a time when aggro was something to think about.
