That's assuming a GM even bothers enough to contact the offending player(s). I don't expect most to read that, but I bet that without proof of malicious intent, the GM's won't even slap the offending player's wrist. Not without reason.

What if they wanted or needed the upgrades tho?

After doing potd on myself and 4 alts, its actually faster to just spam it and only go out of your way when its a room over instead of clearing the whole map. So even if you need the upgrades, searching and clearing entire floors is significantly a slower way to do so.

A single report might not but repeat offenses will. There's no harm in flagging an account with a report if they do something wrong. I've had people join fourth floor savage parties only to get the unlock and jump ship leaving the other 7 people to queue in PF again. Reporting them wouldn't lead to much since those players could always claim something "came up" but after a few reports that no longer holds up as an excuse. If anything you should report in these scenarios.

Were you one of the players that either, ran to clear every room because you wanted every chest and every mob dead or someone who just didn't participate at all? These are by far the most common reason this happens from what I have observed.

Odd to kick them at last boss. if someone is doing that and if speed is your issue it would be smarter to get rid of them quick, so you can move on quick. I suppose if someone wants to be a bit vindictive, waiting till the last boss is a way to go. I'll never accept a kick like that personally, even if I was rolling my eyes at the length.

Yeah, there's really not enough detail in this to decide if the people who kicked were being mean or if there was a genuine reason.

People can definitely kick for difference of playstyle with little repercussions even if nothing was discussed in chat. I was kicked once for collecting chests and nothing was said in chat (since it hadn't long been out back then so I didn't know the most efficient way to level up) and I too reported it and I think I got a pretty generic response because I didn't know exactly who initiated it or why and there was no evidence of harassment in chat. People in PoTD generally kick if you go for the chests as it takes longer to farm.

That's my anecdotal experience in a similar situation, make of it what you will but I won't pass judgement since I don't know the whole story.

That doesn't work for matchmaking/duty finder. It only stops people from joining PF groups together. I wish that were true, though.

Yet you have no proof to disprove me. So we're at a standstill in that case. Sure, they can respond to us, but it doesn't mean they actively do anything after point of contact. I'm not saying that's every case, but in a case such as this (assuming there's not more to the story) it's unlikely anything would be done.

Blacklisting does not prevent this. You'll just not see their messages in duties.
