    Giant Maze concept art

Here is a little concept art for my previous thread about adding a giant maze

i want it to be really hard , and not boring, with lots of riddle, traps, puzzles, walls that moves each 5 min or 10 min..designed to actually get us lost and drive us insane. But not impossible...Where just low percentage of players manages to beat it..in the world lol...and yeap that you can do Solo or in party ..i’d say 4 is a good enough number. 8 would be the limit, more than 8 would not be so great maybe. The camera system to be restricted tho, where you can’t see above the super tall walls.
With crazy guarantied good loot upon completing for everyone...like a 2 seated or 4 seat mount or something..plus other

P.S: Artwork was quickly made using other photo references and photobashing them..not my property..just for reference
    stuff

Why do we need concept art...for a maze?
It'd be a maze, not a teleporter, we dont need concept art for a concept that's existed in real life for thousands of years, people know what a maze is xD
    Are you okay OP?

Concept art are used to portrait a vision of something new or to portrait a different idea on the aspect of something that already exist. So doesnt matter if maze already exist or know to people what it is.. people knows what a car, or clothes or landscape, or a mountain, or a sword or etc is..yet concept art are always used for those . To portrait an new idea for the subject or a different aspect or look or perspective on the same subjects..

I mean, its a maze right? I dont think you'd need concept art to portray a vision of a maze...especially if its proceduraly generated

Because it's beautiful and we always need more beautiful things.

But then again, as a gloomy Dark Knight, you probably don't like beautiful things..
    ...
    (just kidding)

What's the unique challenge here? And if a true maze, similarly, what's going to keep third-party software from simply tracking and comparing its way to victory? And how does the progression feel rewarding prior to its finale? What smaller goals does one visibly and enjoyably accomplish?

Perhaps it could work as a Gold Saucer attraction, but no matter the difficulty, people will find a way to cheat it without the unflinching hammer of RNG. Perhaps you should look into single player games with maze gameplay. I can't see this as something to benefit XIV at all outside of a flood of threads in complaints, yes even more than now..

Okay, okay. Now I see what you were going for. I wasn't sure what you meant by "maze" the first time. I always wondered what 'The Maze Runner' was about. Thanks for this! You learn something new everyday!

I've always thought of a true "Maze" like content for FFXIV, to include things like in Sastasha where you can read the note to find out what colour Coral to activate.

Only for "Difficulty" instead of failure being "Get a weak ass poison" it instead be something like kicking you out of the maze entirely or teleporting you to a random location in the maze whilst moving many walls so as to build a new maze.

You could then make it so that in the maze you have locked doors to which the opening of which relies upon you finding the answer as a note elsewhere in that section of the maze (With deeper doors having notes that are riddles). Upon opening a door, you could get yourself some phat loot in addition to opening the next section of the maze (Most likely for FFXIV's engine would be the next "Floor")

Heck, you could even add in the mythical Sphinx riddles too and the triplets where "One of us is telling the truth!" (Like with that quest with the Pixies... Only without being ridiculously easy)
