The camera system to be restricted tho, where you can’t see above the super tall walls.[/IMG]
What's the unique challenge here? And if a true maze, similarly, what's going to keep third-party software from simply tracking and comparing its way to victory? And how does the progression feel rewarding prior to its finale? What smaller goals does one visibly and enjoyably accomplish?

I've always thought of a true "Maze" like content for FFXIV, to include things like in Sastasha where you can read the note to find out what colour Coral to activate.

Only for "Difficulty" instead of failure being "Get a weak ass poison" it instead be something like kicking you out of the maze entirely or teleporting you to a random location in the maze whilst moving many walls so as to build a new maze.

You could then make it so that in the maze you have locked doors to which the opening of which relies upon you finding the answer as a note elsewhere in that section of the maze (With deeper doors having notes that are riddles). Upon opening a door, you could get yourself some phat loot in addition to opening the next section of the maze (Most likely for FFXIV's engine would be the next "Floor")

Heck, you could even add in the mythical Sphinx riddles too and the triplets where "One of us is telling the truth!" (Like with that quest with the Pixies... Only without being ridiculously easy)
