The 1.0 map was just bad design, so it wasn't enjoyable because it wasn't portrait as a maze ..just as the open world map. Here it would be an actual well designed MAZE that you know is there to challenge you. Where it keeps changing. with traps , jumping puzzle , riddles and so on ..., where you can also come out empty handed for failing...to keep it challenging. it Would open up for some monthly event like where you can win big for participating. something like that. One that you can run solo or in party. it might not be a cup of tea for everyone but i feel many including me would enjoy having that.

I'm so down for that as a Gold Saucer attraction, this would be a lot of fun.

Considering we have no word if we're getting deep dungeons this expanion...Maybe we could get a procedurely generated maze instead? That might be cool. Maybe as a gold saucer thing. I really would hope it'd be nothing more than a side project though - I dont want it to take up as much development resources as Umbrellas did xD
2.0 Veteran from 2013. Just looking to be helpful. DRK is Love, DRK is life.
(Ignore the levels on my character card, the tool i used to make it hasn't been updated for 4.0)

I thought we'd gotten word for certain in the Dengeki Online interview with Yoshi-P that we weren't getting deep dungeons this expansion?
Edit: this interview, for those who read Japanese.
I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer

Make it so our camera is behind us and unable to go over the walls, but make it not impossible. Maybe hints/clues along the way?
I'd love this, but would want it to be super hard, and yes, to take time, thought, and resources. Make it a thing unto itself....like the deep dungeons are. Not just a side game.
I don't think it should be soloed, but any number between 4-10. The bigger the group, the better the loot drops. Things like trip wires and other such traps can cause people to get disoriented and split into groups of two, or three; which could cause problems because the splits would be random and certain class mechanics would be better suited to get past whatever problems might arise.
Make them not impossible but that much harder to get past. Groups must use clues to find their way together again before actually beating the maze.
Maybe have x-ray vision type potions that expose everyone's whereabouts through the maze, or offer clues to get to the end, but only last a few seconds and only so many drop per event. They might also expose your whereabouts to enemy combatants, so should be used wisely.
Visibility potions that expose traps but can only be used so many times and can't see too far into distance, things like that.
I'd like to see something that says 90 minutes time allotted and actually takes close to it, where rushing through it causes only mayhem and madness.
