So far all the responses I've heard as to why wear this skimpy clothing equate to 'it's fun to show off.' What if someone does not want you showing off to them? Why aren't they allowed the right to not participate in that if it does not at all infringe upon your choice, which it does not in this case.

I would say...MMO is not for you.
