Use a raise notifier, sound and text. That's how it's been done forever. It's frowned on if you don't

It doesn't work on live targets, but it'll reset someone rezz timer if they already have one, it's 60 seconds I believe. Why would you need to reset it if it's that long...
They should just make it so you can't use if they have rezz buff/timer active

I'm all for the "refund Swiftcast if target has been already targeted by a res". It seems the best solution, although not sure how doable.
The charge thing is also a good idea. Making switcast apply directly to raise when off cd is no different than having a Swiftcast+Raise macro (which I always use), it still requires both to be casted, but with the charge you save the swiftcast cast. Although I'm still not sure how much that can help.
As for the "message and sound" macro, they can easily go unnoticed, sometimes the chat is too spammy or you just don't see it, and people use sounds for so many things that I stopped paying attention to them. Recently I've seen many healers have a sound and message macro for all AoE heals and it's ridicolous. Also sometimes the messages are so long and convoluted, from people trying to be cool, that it takes a long reading before understanding what spell it's even for. So they don't help much.
When you're hardcasting a raise while having a smn or a rdm in your party and they decide to wake up when your cast bar is almost full.

BLU raise is on a long cooldown, I would like for it to be shorter, just a little bit
I don't. Macros are slow and clunky and 90% of the time you both fire off the rez at the same time regardless and there's 2 macros in chat. A macro-free Rez is instant and reliable.
I like that idea. Lets us use Swiftcast for things like instant aoe heals or weave windows instead of holding it incase for Raise too.
In FF11 you can't use raise on a player who has received the effect and it saved me a lot of times some mana, i have never understood why it wasn't the case in FF14 since the beginning.....
I feel bad when I die in 24 man and Im waiting for certain mechanics to pass(healer has already cast raise on me) and all I hear is three swiftcast sound effects go off followed by 3 raises >_<. Its not the raises that make me feel bad, it's the blown swiftcasts.
The above poster just reminded me of something. We need Reraise.
