The fact remains that they said the Viera would not get hair at the same rate as other races and yet every patch since we have had people crying that they aren't getting hair. The dev team does not have access to all of SE's money and they have made it clear that they have a limited budget and have to decide what is going to be the best content to work on. Not everyone is going to agree with their choices, but crying Everytime you don't get your way isn't going to get you anywhere.

I think the point is more that talking about it and bringing it up shows how invested a lot of people are in this subject, if SE doesn't think anyone cares or notices then they are less likely to do anything about it or put it anywhere on their list of priorities. We've seen them literally say over and over again if there is expressed player interest in something, then it is something they keep in mind as they work on the game and we've seen many times that if people aren't bringing things up much they tend to get pushed back until they disappear from most players minds, and things that are constantly a subject of conversation get addressed in some capacity whether it's actual implementation or simply given an update on. There's nothing wrong with people talking about this, or even complaining about it and wanting them to change whatever decision they made on the rate at which they're included in new hairstyles, it's not a subject anyone is being forced to participate in.

If people wont cry about it every patch, devs would never see a money for making A NEW HAIR AND WORKING HEADGEAR for a NEW RACES. Who will spend extra money/time on something that people dont even asking or talking about, SE sure will find the way to not give any extra penny on this game. Stop pretending like we're playing a game from little indie company and that they can't invest more into game that cash-cow for SE nowadays. If you dont care — just dont visit threads like these. You chose to spend your money, that's on you. No company will pander to the whims of every individual buyer, just take the data and roll with whatever comes along in the future and work with the vocal majority.

If your a viera player then why isn't your race so right now? Why do you even come to this thread knowing its about players ranting that there is still no news of the promised hairstyles? You should look for another thread if you get so butthurt over people commenting in here. The company promised to provide more new race hairstyles, as a customer I have a total right to comment about this matter. Viera is pretty popular new race and I see them a lot in my server, I find it funny how you nitpick words to bring out negativity rather than to understand my overall message.

Feel like this frustration and energy would be better directed towards a single large thread like how people treated the topic of Male Viera (Devs legit said it's better to make 1 large thread than to make tons of tiny ones.)

These threads pop up as just a frustrated venting whenever something new comes out and they ... turn into spaces were people feel free to just shit on the devs or come up with crack theories as to why they didn't get what they wanted.

I find the idea of a "Viera/ Hrothgar Hair and head Gear" thread to be appealing. A place where people talk about the topic as well as share their ideas on what kinda hair they would like or what faces Hrothgar could get and try to talk about things as reasonable people excited about new hair would to get more attention to their desired outcome over making flash in the pan vent threads.

Would have been a better use of Yoshida's platform where he updates the players than lecturing them that harassment is bad.

Okay listen, of course everyone has a right to complain. Imagine people never did, we wouldn't have 2.0 in the first place. Voicing your opinions is vital, otherwise the dev team wouldn't know what the playerbase wants. On the other hand you must understand that we get a new patch every three months and a new expansion every 2 years. That is so little time in the world of game development. Are their priorities always right? No, I don't think so. But I don't know who is working on what. Was the person that made the umbrellas the same that would do hairstyles? Maybe? I could have gone without umbrellas if it meant other players get something they really want but it is what it is. Don't forget that the dev team went behind YoshiP's back to implement more headgear options in the first place. I know it sucks but just have a bit more patience.

New hairstyles? Man, I just want access to the few hairstyle Hrothgars have available! It's absolutely ridiculous that if I want to change my hair, it MUST be done through a fantasia. Even more ridiculous is that if I want to keep my current face, I only have access to just one (1) other style. This isn't the suffering olympics by any stretch, but at least the viera have access to 17 styles.

Agree with the OP completely. I loved the Viera the second I laid eyes on them. It's literally everything I could want aside from the lack of helms/hair options. When I race changed from Elezen, I knew there was a possibility they would never go through and redo all the old helms for us. Not getting any going forward is frustrating however. Not getting any new hair options just seems lazy.
