It's time (Option to Hide other players Glamour)

Someone being against it would be complaining on certain dresses to make them being unavailable to everyone in the game.
IRL you dont have physical option to hide someone so we have to get used to and tolerate it, because people wearing something we dont like wont just disappear, but even irl you cant wear everything you wont go to work in thongs and nothing else on you, do you? In game you could have the option, its possible to implement and i really dont understand why are you against someone just turning others glam on their own client, they already could do it with mods then why do you care?
Nothing will take your freedom away from you, you wont even tell if someone is using it, why are you comparing it to beating someone with stick is beyond me, its non intrusive thing making game more friendly to everyone, it will significantly reduce prejudice and drama among players. And nope you cant call someone else in game and criticize their outfit, because it could get you banned.
We cant interact with others in the same way we could do irl, thats another argument why this toggle button should be implemented asap.

I care about others tho, most about people who would use such a feature. Just pressing a button instead of learning to deal with it is the worst solution i can imagine. But then, i just share my worries with the world and don't force people to have the same opinion as me.

And again, i know you are smart enough to understand my words. If you talk about underwear and want this option it's like you nuke the problem away with as much casualties as possible. I mean saying you hate random "naked" players and then give a option to toggle them to their jobgear etc. is a nuke to that problem. And i don't think you believe that SE would ever implement a feature that allows you to toggle certain sets/glams specific. That would cost so much ressources it would be kinda utopic.

Even though I've dabbled in discussion on values, I wholeheartedly agree with this. Every medium seems to be getting more and more politicized as well as polarized, last thing I'd want is that gaming communities follow suit. This is supposed to be a place where I can escape from all that crap.

I mean, the OPs argument is a political one, it's a demand for a change to hide glamours because they don't want to have to see that some guys may choose to wear a dress or some women may choose to wear revealing clothing both are political matters at this time.

That's before you get into discussions around the political implications of implementing a system that, for some, is targetted at trying to pretend groups of people don't exist.

Let's not bring politics into this. It's not relevant. I also think the inverse is occurring here - some people don't want others to be able to not see certain things, which comes across as forcing it down their throats rather than letting everyone play the game they want to. It does not affect those whose appearance is being filtered out except for the fact that it can't be seen by the person filtering it out. You seem to be prioritising your own discomfort over such a feature over letting others manage what they will or won't see on screen. Does their discomfort not matter because you think it stems from "prejudice" or w/e? Different people have different tastes and it would be nice to be able to tailor the game in certain respects, to filter out certain hideous glamours etc.

Framing this as "taking away" anything, as some people are doing, is disingenuous, because it would not suppress their appearance for anyone but the player who activates such a feature. So I am sorry to say I find the "concerns" over this feature to be another case of shoving one's own taste down the throats of others, rather than any genuine expression for mutual tolerance. I tolerate the other person's glamour, I don't tell them what to do with it but I also am not forced to see it. Where is the issue?

Just learn to deal with in-game trolls. Don't blacklist them.

No, the OP's request is not political, as much as you're trying to make into that. You're just inventing excuses now to try fearmonger against the introduction of such a feature. And it is transparent. It is not "targeted" against any groups and does not affect the player on the receiving end as no one but the player blocking the glamour is affected.

It's not that deep. Nobody is being persecuted by the existence of this thread. People are allowed to dislike your fashion choices and statements. Just as they're allowed to not like mine. Under the proposed system nobody is stopping you from dressing however you like - it simply means that on their screen they do not see what they do not wish to. Which is perfectly acceptable. Humanity, thankfully, does not function as a hive-mind. A number of people, myself included, have also stated that they wish this system to be implemented because of the likes of the pig suit and frog suit.

Some of the same people stamping out this thread are on record petitioning for the game to loosen restrictions and add more options. It's pretty baffling that they're now turning around and trying to prevent other people from also being able to partake of options that would make their game more enjoyable and immersive. It doesn't involve taking anything away from you or anybody else. It's entirely client side.

Well if that is the case then this game is already quite bad!!! I can block out performance by bards, I can block out bad words too. SE takes these options out please because seemingly that also means that we are all bad people wanting to oppress others...

An option to hide glamours would partly fix your problem here. Next time they harass you, you can simply tell them to hide glamours if they don't like what you're wearing.
