



 
			
			
				While I agree that complexity should matter, DRK's [Dark Arts] complexity [Dark Arts] wasn't [Dark Arts] all [Dark Arts] that [Dark Arts] it was cracked up to be.This is something I still hate they moved away from. There was never anything wrong with having slightly less accessible jobs due to them requiring more experience from the player. If you wanted an easier tank or healer, you had Paladin and White Mage, respectively. For those looking to have a bit more complexity in their job of choice, you had Dark Knight and Astro.
Now it boils down mostly to aesthetic—or in the case of Astro, a job feeling entirely cumbersome while its counterparts achieve the same results for half the effort.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
