As much as I'm bored with catboys and roebros in nothing but speedos, or 2B leggings everywhere, I can't say I care enough to go for this option.

That's the beauty of it being an option. You don't have to 'Go for it.' It'd be my choice, and you wouldn't know about it either way. You get to live your best life being a fem ro wearing a sailor outfit tanking with a fish in your main hand, and I get to play the game without being disgusted looking at you!

Easy - just add an option so that all other players appear in those Amaurotine robes and masks...

Who is going to pay for this option?

Rights is definitely a strong word. We only have what SE allows us. But you see nothing wrong with erasing how people want to express themselves?

This isn't a lore or an immersion issue. This is all stuff that actually exists in the game. If it is in the game, should it not then be lore? Breaking immersion is when I am in Uldah and people are talking about local politics or even how good or bad a new game is.

You also already have two in game options that SE has implemented that costs them no extra money. It also doesn't force people to conform to how you view they should express themselves. Make your own party so you can inform other players of appropriate attire for your game playing experience. Second you are free to leave. If I am not enjoying a group I leave and allow them to continue playing. I don't need to enforce my views on them.

You're not wrong. Choice is everything. It literally effects nobody but the user who decides to turn off other persons glam. I'll admit i've seen some horrendous glams. Those frogmen costumes freak me the hell out and make me feel super uncomfortable. If i had a way to turn that off, i'd love to - Without affecting anyone else.

Remember that glamours are just refracted light.
That bikini isn’t really a bikini. Your tank is fine.

Seriously, let people glam what they want, and if that troubles you, just... don't look at them ? There have been bikini tankers and exhibitionists (thongs roegadyn, I'm looking at you boys) since the glamours were made a thing. You just want this to change because you don't want to see male hyurgoths in wedding dresses. And I understand how that might trouble you, but you don't know, maybe that dude in a wedding dress needs to dress like that to feel good, so maybe, just maybe, you're in the wrong there. Let people do what they want as long as it doesn't affect you on another level than "I don't like it".
Yes, exactly. Let people do what they want. The option OP speaks of follows this mantra. It is those who are opposed to it that are opposed to letting people have choice and freedom. Again, forcing people to look upon you, vehemently opposed to them having an option not to do so.

You seemingly can't go five seconds without cycling through your random insult generator to make your arguments. "I don't want to look at [race] in [derogatory adjective] because it upsets me."

How is someone dressing the way they want forcing their expression on you? You don't have to look at it. Do you know how absurd and narcissistic it sounds to be so bothered by the way other people look that you feel the need to shield your eyes from the scary outside world over other peoples' existence? You are essentially saying that another person's self expression regardless of intention bothers you enough that you need a game feature to cover your eyes and hold your hand because you don't like something so HARMLESS. Appearance is not harmful as long as it's not representing something harmful, like hate organizations. The fact you get so offended by people that havent even spoken to you speaks volumes.

We're not just talking about "it doesn't affect them" and how it's "optional" anymore, we're talking about the fact you think someone's appearance warrants you to not only insult them, but gives you permission to pick and choose what you get to see on the basis of "I don't like it." would you really walk up to someone in game and tell them that you find their character/glamour ugly? I'd hope you wouldn't, and that doesn't mean you should come on here and do it either. You can hate on silly or ugly glamours as much as you want but insulting someone's character/appearance because of what they're wearing does not get much lower in terms of pettiness and narcissism.

I have my own fair share of glamours I don't like but never have I felt compelled to insult people for wearing them nor felt so entitled to anothers appearance that I wanted to change it for myself. The "be and let be" argument is a funny one to make in favor of this considering you're definitely not "being" by getting so worked up over a personal choice which everyone has the right to make.
Lol, you calling someone narcissistic is rich. Let's be real here. Your side doesn't want people to have the OP's option to 'shield their eyes', because you want to be the center of attention. Is there anything more narcissistic and sad than prancing around in a ridiculous outfit screaming 'look at me', 'look at me.' I've seen people in the thread admit this. They can't bear the thought of not being the center of someone's focus.

Really, you dropped the N word. Stretching it a bit just cause people like others to like them? Just cause if someone wants to be seen a certain way does not mean they are a damn narcissist. Like wow man. Have you ever read the entire definition of that word. I had someone yesterday saying my character was super cute. Yeah, I felt good. I was like thanks. So since I created something and someone liked it therefor made me happy. I am a narcissist. You are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to argue that. Really sad, stop acting so self righteous, like you NEVER felt good from someone complementing you for something you have done or were able to do/the way you looked.
