Honestly it's just plain disappointing that even after being released and after 5 months, none of the prevalent issues with the limited races have been resolved.

1. You're still limited on what helmet you can wear and even some of the helmet you can wear just look plain bad.
2. You can't change hair without a fantasia, seriously, a hair change isn't worth a fantasia, but a fantasia is worth switching onto one of the races that don't actually have a problem.
3. Apparently there's a new trend with making the new hairstyles unavailable for Viera/Hrothgar, and I mean, I kind of get it since it sucks having to pay 10 bucks to change hairstyles after getting a new one, but see #2
4. Still no male Vieras or female Hrothgar, it would have been much better if they just released 1 complete race instead of 2 incomplete ones that when added together can't even compare to a complete race

I mean maybe these things won't be an issue because they're close to fixing both races and we just don't know it, and I sure hope so, but it's just disappointing that we're at the second savage tier and all the issues that have been present since day 1 haven't been fixed.

This issue feels less about Viera and more about Hrothgar imo. I think SE can easily add Viera to the list when releasing new hairstyles and just as easy port existing mog station hair to them.
However it would look bad to give it to Viera while Hrothgar don't get anything since they were added together. Safe to assume that anything Hrothgar gets, Viera will too and vice versa. Which means that even if there's something that could easily be applied to Viera, if it's not just as easily applied to Hrothgar, it won't happen.

As hard as this sounds, Viera and Hrothgar were a last min thing and the team is strictly focused on playable content over cosmetics. I say be grateful we have them and just fant until they get more stuff which most likely will be mid to late ShB and the beginning of 6.0 when they a lot more free development time and stop acting like they're lazy, and stop being entitled.

It's not as simple as you think.

Even back when they said that Viera would get SOME shared hair styles (the ones that could work for them) they made it clear that it would only be a small number. This was before the more recent statement that they would "only get Unique hairs" btw.
From a design PoV if you look at the Viera hair that they made for this game you'll see clear rules, patterns and guide lines that they follow with how they make hair work on their heads. Looking through their hairs you will find that they all either have hair that goes straight to the back or is parted between the ears.
From a design PoV this makes sense, having a huge side part that makes a wave of hair that clips through both ears and bangs that fully clip through an ear wouldn't make sense for them and the game is full of that kinda stuff as they have never had to design hair around these limits before. So far the hair they have makes prefect sense for their heads and how they would style them around their ears. So yeah, they "could" but they wouldn't cause it would look like trash to have all these styles clipping. Say what you will about clipping in this game, the devs at least try to make sure anything that comes out of your character's body doesn't look out of place on your character.

As for their connection to Hrothgar that's a two way street that I think Viera benefit more from than Hrothgar.

I have a very well cared for Viera alt, and it's hard to see them without bombastic, big floofs of hair. What would be neat are Viera/Hrothgar versions of said hairstyles.

So sad, really sad, love the race but it seens YoshiP and his team don't. =/

All this shows that you don't do any research before buying something. All the info has been out for quite awhile and isn't hard to find.

Yeah, that how I imagine new player buy the game, searching info about which race can wear headgear and which not. Blizzard wants to know your location.

I think the 'wolf face' thing was mispoken. I don't belive at all he mean to say that. because c'mon people, it's in the description that the Hrothgar are a Feline race. So it woukd make ZERO sense for them to have a Wolf face.
And, I might be mis-remembering, but I dont think he said "More Customization" he did mention that both races will get unique hairstyles designed.
Sadly didnt say WHEN, but he did say it was happening.
