as the title suggests i'm wondering since the bozja citadel will be the setting of the next artifact weapon questline. and as they mentioned in the liveletter, the bozja citadel is the homeland of the hrothgar. and as other hrothgar npcs have stated, the females stayed behind (especially the queen) while the males ventured out for whatever reason...so i wonder what kind of excuse they'll come up with to not show any.

maybe the females have been captured by garleans

Watsonian: Bozja Citadel was destroyed when Midas tested the Lunar Transmitter. Though the Garleans still hold the territory, until we actually see Bozja Citadel itself I'm pretty sure the city was completely destroyed and whatever was rebuilt would use Garlean architecture. The Hrothgar women (Queens) living there were all killed, leading the surviving Hellions to find new queens to serve or otherwise join the ranks of the Lost.

Doylist: The infamous "We only really wanted to do Hrothgar, but this might be the last time we add new races and everyone would throw a hissy fit if they didn't get Viera, so we made a compromise." Making an NPC model or two probably wouldn't be too hard, but Hrothgar models are just heavily altered Roegadyn; I'd be curious to know if they were able to do the same with the females as the males. Either way adding any female Hrothgar will lead to more cries for them to be playable, even though current lore practically prohibits it. Corporate chronically underfunding this game is a known issue as well.

Pretty sure it was said in the gunbreaker storyline that Hrothgar are being sent to concentration camps. Their revolution in the relic quest line needs to succeed to ensure their race continues. My hope is the at somewhere on the Bojzan Front we'll liberate one of these camps and finally see a female Hrothgar model.
