I don't think we're going to get a melee healer. I think that would fly in the face of FFXIV encounter design to have healers that want to be in melee a lot. Any new healer is going to need to be fully functional at range making the melee part kind of pointless, and it's unlikely they're going to give a healer a rdm melee combo with how much they've culled healer dps buttons in general.I definetely want with 6.0 a 4th healer and 4th ranged dps or mage
Voting for Necromancer as Melee Healer using scythes and Hunter as ranged dps using crossbows.
The point with healers is, that they need to fix together with a 4th healer the sub roles of the healers, while making sure, that they can fullfill all the task of being the main healer properly and to do that in certain content means, that healers need to be able to perform to a certain extent all the same effects with their spells,which is the reason whY many people think that healer jobs play too similar? The problem is, if they get too unsimilar, then will healers that are too uneffective not get played and players kicked, if they play the wrong healer job.
Each healer as to be kind of unique in its kind of sub role, while ensuring, that they are equally potent at doing their main tasks, thats not easy to design without potencially unbalancing them for the sake of their individual sub roles with that healers stand out from each other




I wouldn't say no to a new healer, or any new classes tbh.
With the caveat that they also do something about the sorry state of the healers we have now. Balance is an ongoing issue, and will be for the life of any game, so there's no point in holding off on anything until jobs are perfectly balanced or we'll never get anything new. By all means, give us a new healer, just don't ignore the issues we already have.

when the ideal of medic I realize it need rgm
so I thought rinoa dog Angelo who help her in her lb. also since US use dogs in combat sometime as do many other country I thought add a dog as service the healer
second I thought chemist that people want through on battle medic could be use as replace chemist plus because are enemy as inaccess to aether they would have medic.
third people like dogs have a dog gain and take medic kits for they enemy to healer or second find herb that they can mix with they potions to make better healing I thought this would be a good ideal

WhM is the poor designed one, just an entire expansion to get what we have now and we get a gauge with 3 lilies which u re force to use even when u don’t need, to unlock a powerful attack. Such design, a job created to let new people get into healer job, which could have been some useful support skills for your allies, as white mage community as always asked for (ally mp Regen, co healing support spells, etc..) to let new players and old players feel useful now brings on a concept of the best damage healer despite we already had scholar which was designed to do that and now is quite poor. Totally agree with thatSE can't handle their other pet jobs, especially SCH. I don't want another one until they get those two down.
Also a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I don't want a 4th healer either,for much the same reason. Square can't handle 3 healers, and I'd hate to see how they'd ruin a 4th.

Healers are useful, they’re keeping the party alive.Do u really think WhM is the best designed healer? I don't think scholar is badly design pet jobs do need work. this why beast master will be a limit job for a good reason limit jobs can be a test bay to improve other pet jobs such as scholar and summoner. even possible Medic basic my suggest with Medic is more basic on what dog can doing as a working dog in really life. like sniff out drugs and bombs as pet job Medic's dog isn't really like other pet jobs mind you more of random game machinac simple and able work with attack could be a ability for a dog too retrieve supply and such.
