Why on Eorzea would you want to stand in a corner and still expect heals?
Is it too much work to stick close to rest?
Just because you're in cast range it doens't mean you're in AoE heal range, and no healer should ever run around to heal everybody. Selfish DPS who want the whole party to cater around them.

When it's the last boss of the Twinning and the boss is doing his cross timed attack that comes from his body I don't need to be there.

You can literally stay inside his hitbox to not get hit by that attack.

I have to vent a bit, but not for a team member failure, no... My failure.

If someone reading this was in the YorHa raid yesterday and remembers the A-Tank, i am sorry. I had a long break, i had done high level content duties before returning to raids, but aparently i fucked up in every positioning i could think of right now regarding at vital parts of the raid. Such as tank busters, adds... I literally failed at remembering or looking for info i needed to know before joining the said raid. I promise to not to do it again, really. Sorry.

Reading this little rescue debate made me remember a Hades EX farm party a while back (so this is PF, not DF).
I was playing bard and while the party wasnt doing all that great - several deaths and even some wipes to tally avoidable things like people dying due to a lack of heals (raid-wide AoEs, ranged getting hit by the puddles - that sort of thing; really damage that you can not avoid and have to be healed through) and people not being able to do the mechanics in the last phase without a safespot - we had gotten 2 or 3 clears in at this point.

I actually like doing the mechanic with the falling circles (during the first phase) correctly when I'm on bard - as a ranged job it doesnt hurt my dps to bad, for one of the middle ones I can use my knockback to jump into a safespot etc. On melee I like staying in the middle - provided the healers can handle it - but as bard I dont really see the point of taking extra damage. Especially not with these two struggling WHMs, who had a record of letting people die to avoidable damage, so I'm not taking my chances.
On our third run or so I was lingering just outside the middle, looking for the first falling circle, when I suddenly got yanked into the group - there wasnt any healing going on at that point and no need for any healing to go on either, but nevertheless I was still in healing range.
So I asked the WHM not to do that again and we got into a little discussion because they couldnt understand why someone would choose doing the mechanic correctly instead of relying on two healers who had proven that they couldnt really be trusted to keep people up without them taking extra damage and vul-stacks.
The part I most enjoyed was the WHM talking about a dps-loss - firstly, its minimal for a ranged job, I can dodge and still attack without a problem. And secondly... we were not only beating it but my bard was top-dps, ahead of two RDMs and a ninja. Which is sad enough - to their credit though: while I'm not sure on who actually died anymore, we had a few dead dps... dying from damage they couldnt avoid, aka from a lack of heals, so it wasnt really their fault.

There have been moments when I was very thankful for healers rescuing me - mainly the two healers in my static rescuing my lazy tank-ass during certain mechanics, allowing me to stay on the boss just a second longer. But most of the time I had this feeling of myself being dragged down by an incompetent healer when I knew excatly what I was doing and for what reason.

When you're doing wall to wall pulls in Pharos Sirius and your healer is literally only using CURE...

What is it with all these awful healers lately just spamming CURE?! In Level 50, 60, 70 AND 80 content?!

I prefer to do it the intended way too. I have seen a lot of parties try to do the stack in the middle cheese and then the healers let you die to the spread because the two vulns have not fallen of by then. It doesn't always happen, but I've had it happen enough to be paranoid about it.

It does suck to dodge as melee, but as BRD there's really no reason not to. IMO in the perfect scenario everyone dodges without dps loss, so there is no healing that has to go out and the healers can DPS more too.

So just FYI. On the north american servers we dont really use the duty finder to que for extreme trials or savage raids(this includes the coils series which werent labeled as savage, but were set to that difficulty level). These parties are typically made using the partyfinder tool instead.

You are definitely better off using PF or a group of friends you know. You will wait forever.

This is just a general vent, so please bear with me.

A few times, I've had the misfortune of dealing with people whose wrath I'd find myself on the receiving end of. I'd be the only Sprout in the party every time this would happen, and every time the individual(s) in question would keep verbally abusing me and blaming me for things that were neither my fault nor in my control. Just ... my gods! I'm new to these dungeons, and a majority of the time I'm only doing them for my MSQ or for my Challenge Logs, and that's it. And trust me when I say, I want them cleared as efficiently and swiftly as the next person. If I'm doing my part to the best of my abilities, and doing my best to learn the mechanics for everything, then I'm sorry but your saltiness has zero grounds to stand on. It rests on a shaky foundation, and your nasty attitude only makes me believe that you behave in such an unethical manner in order to compensate for something. Thankfully such incidences aren't common for me, but it's still nerve-wracking when it happens, and it makes for a poor gameplay experience for me. Of course, I'd always get a GM involved along with reporting those people for the harassment, but still! Give me a break already!

Nothing wrong with being new or going into a dungeon blind. Though if you’re doing something to get yelled at more than once, I’m curious to what exactly you’re doing to warrant such attacks? I get that sometimes their are bad apples in df though, but generally most people are usually silent.
