Many tanks run away from Asylum too. Basically they run away from every ground targeting skill. And yeah, with Doton, it just led me to use it much less.

I'm leveling DPS jobs on and off and I've noticed that with Doton (and well and once in a while a healer effect), but it kind of makes me want to keep casting Doton and chase the tank around the room with it.

Just wanted to give major props to the healer who ran over to the last piece of furniture in Grand Cosmos then Rescued me over to it to save my ass. That right there was situational awareness and a freaking great healer. I wish I could have remembered their name. I'd have given them like 10 comms for that.

I think I rescue more people on that mechanic than every other piece of content in the game combined.

Minor vent: Please don't rescue me into melee range when I'm playing a ranged class. Yes, I know about LoS and cast distances. I mained a healer for most of HW and SB. I just want to shoot from the corner.

Okay, but don't complain that you're not getting heals from unavoidable AoE attacks when you're out of range.

But not all healers know. Rather rescue someone to heal the entire group, than heal six and rez one.
Also, if you want some *special treatment* you should say about that before duty starts.

If I'm not standing in anything there isn't going to be one to rez.

And it isn't about special treatment, it's about doing something that didn't need to be done at the time and potentially pulling me into a mechanic that could kill me and/or the party. When it's the last boss of the Twinning and the boss is doing his cross timed attack that comes from his body I don't need to be there.

If you're standing outside of healer range. Have fun dying to unavoidable damage.

When i play my ranged DPS i feel comfortable standing in exactly the same spot as my healer would. Standing out in the corner doesn't do much for me. Especially on DNC where technical step and standard step don't have as long of a range as my other abilities.
